{our weekend.}

What a beautiful weekend we had here in Columbia.  Unfortunately, next weekend looks like the exact opposite, but we soaked up every ounce of enjoyment this time.  Not everything panned out like we thought it was going to but we still had a fabulous weekend.

Mikey, Collins and I spent the night with my mom Friday night (my dad had already had plans to go to the hunting club) to help her get ready for their neighborhood wide yard sale.  Goodness gracious, y'all!  It was NUTS.  Because my parents just moved, they had TONS of stuff to get rid of.  The sale wasn't supposed to start until 7, but we had people there at 6:20 with flashlights!  HOLY!  She did so, so good though and it was definitely worth it.  But, because of the insane amount of people that showed up, we didn't end up making it down for the St. Patty's Day parade and fun festivities.  I wasn't too worried about it though, considering at this age Collins is still pretty clueless/couldn't care less.  We had a birthday party to go to that afternoon so we just hung out until it was time to go. They had two bouncy houses and C loves her a bouncy house!  We have to kind of wait for the big kids to take a break but she LOVES to roll around and try and walk around in them.  So fun!  It was BEAUTIFUL outside, I was even sweating...ugh.  Such a fun birthday party for sweet James:-)

Family pic...do you think we will ever get one of the three of us LOOKING and SMILING again?

 Love.
 Ready to slide down.
After the party, we came home to take a LONG sunset cruise on the lake.  It was absolutely gorgeous and a perfect way to end the day.  What made it even better is after we came off the lake we went to my parents house for burgers rights off the grill...no cooking for us and a fab meal...yes please.

Beautiful sunset on Lake Murray.
I promise Collins was excited about the boat ride...haha ;-) But, really...I had to use the flash as it was already dark outside and that did not go over very well with getting her to smile and look at the camera!
Sunday was another busy day.  We went to church and watched Collins' beautiful best friend, Mary Brooks get baptized.  Such a sweet, sweet ceremony at our church.  Then it was time to head home for a bit before heading over to Belle's PRINCESS birthday party!!  All the little girls dressed as their favorite princess and the little boys dressed as their favorite hero.  Collins just dressed as a baby princess...ha.  She was given this little tutu outfit for her birthday so I wasn't going to go buy something specifically princess...she looked just fine:)  Unfortunately, because of getting home late from church, Collins was only about to nap for about 45 minutes before we had to wake her up to take her to the party, so she wasn't in the best mood the whole time...but she had fun nonetheless.  My SIL did such an awesome job with everything...it was adorable.  And guess what? Another bounce house!  I got in this one with Collins because it was one of the BIG commercial ones, but she still LOVED it.  Wish I had my camera in there with her.

Love this face!

I love this picture because it shows off those chunk-a-monka THIGHS....love those rolls!!!
After coming home and letting C nap again...we headed out on another boat ride.  It was a little colder this time, but still beautiful.  I could get used to ending my weekends with a sunset spin around the lake.

Nothing like some marker on the face and hands from a good, fun birthday party!

 My best girl:)
My big girl growing up way too fast!
Hope everyone has a fabulous week!

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
