Long time no blog, huh?!

Whew! Life has been CArazy busy lately. We have been soaking up every single second of summer. And absolutely LOVING it. From the boat to the beach from the coast to the lake we have been GO, GO, GO! Admittedly, and without shame, I would take 15 minutes a day at my old job to blog. Not only am I WAY busier at my new job but we have ZERO access to web sites. It's been a HUGE adjustment. The only sites blocked at my last firm (and only within past year and a half) were Facebook and twitter... I can't even access my hotmail account at new firm. Woah!!! And yes I have my phone but I hate using it for email, web browsing, etc and yes.... Don't have the time anymore:-( Sooo I really don't want to completely give up the blog because I LOVE having it as my online scrapbook but I just need to figure out how and when to blog now. I really don't like getting on the computer at night... So that doesn't leave many options. We shall see...... I need a huge recap post so

4 years and date night.

June 13 marked four wonderful years with my main man. I don't have the time or energy to devote to a long post right now (more on that later) but I wanted to remember the night. We had the BEST night last night. We rented a hotel room in downtown columbia and had a true date night. We started off at the oak table, a super fab new restaurant. We had drinks and an app there. Then we ventured on down to divinos, definitely one of the nicest restaurants in town. It was our first time there and it did NOT disappoint. The food was super amazing. Lots of wine was had and we had the best time just talking. We always have our best convos when we are out to eat. Time really does fly when you are having fun. I cannot believe we have been married FOUR years now. Love that boy more every day. A little collage I put on Instagram from our wedding and then is celebrating last night. I'm a lucky girl.

Nooks and crannies.

Or also known as hallways and corners. Still lots of work to do around the casa...but I get disinterested quickly. I'm all house, house, house and then I just stop and forget about it for a while.  Maybe I have ADD?  Ha!  This is the little "nook" that leads to our master bedroom. I guess if I was a cool "design blogger" I could call this a vignette, but I'm not . And it's probably not that cool either. But, it is home to MY VERY FIRST (and only) Michelle Armas painting which I am very proud of.  I scored this beauty on One King's Lane and was SO excited.  She is amazing.  And like I said/say for ALL things in my house...I still need my fab SIL to come over and help me "style" everything.  But, for now...it works for me. This is the hallway off of the den/living room that leads to the garage. The plan here is to put wainscoting up on the left side (under the pin board) and add hooks to make this our "command" center/sta

The Friday Five.

Week two of a link up, I'm getting good at this:) 1.  I finally signed up for a month with Citrus Lane .  I've been hearing about this concept for quite some time...we will see whether we end up continuing it, but it seems like a great idea!  Definitely love getting new products, toys, books, etc. and I am sure as Collins gets older it will be something she looks forward to receiving each month.  You can use this link to get $10 off your order:  https://www.citruslane.com/invitedby/Caroline.Glenn.1229227 2. We've got fun plans this weekend that include an all day lake fest complete with a BBQ AND celebrating my precious nephew's FIRST birthday!! June 11, 2012  Lots of changes in the past year! 3. We went to see our friend's house last night and she has BEAUTIFUL wallpaper up in the dining room and it gave me some inspiration.  I think I'm finally gonna get serious about finding some for our half bath.  I kinda want something crazy, fun, and bri

Thursday randomness.

I just sold my car in 48 hours on Craigslist.  HOLY!  I was really just "testing" the market, but we got almost $1k over what dealerships/carmax offered so we just went with it:)  So, for now I am car-less.  I'm looking around and have one being transferred to Carmax to check out.  But, we may be carpooling for a bit! I have two more full days at my current job.  Starting to get kinda sad.  But, more happy than sad about the new one.  Just a little bittersweet. Carolina (the REAL Carolina, the GAMECOCKS) baseball is BACK in the super regional this weekend.  Super excited.  Our FOUR year anniversary is next week.  Time really does FLY.  They came to pick up my wingback to get recovered last week...yippee!!  The den will look SO different once that's done. We haven't "done" anything (ie, go out, drinks, girls night, meet friends for dinner) on a week night in forever.  Another reminder that we are getting old. Speaking of getting old....Mikey t

some summer must haves.

If you know me or have read this blog for any amount of time at all, you know SUMMER is MY season.  I LIVE for it.  Summer speaks to my soul.  Yes, even the 100+ degree days when I'm sweating my tail off.  I would choose that over another season any day.  *And no, I don't "glisten" I SWEAT, and yet, I still love summer* To me, summer is the epitome of the laid back, feel good days of long ago.  You know what I mean? Those days that you keep in your memory forever and are afraid to let go of because they are just that good?  That's summer to me.  I absolutely LOVE the longer days, lots of nights C doesn't even go to bed till 9 because we forget how late it is and get busy playing/visiting/soaking up the sun!  I live for the water; lake, ocean, pool...whatever it may be.  I could spend every day in one of those three places and be just fine for the rest of my life. Summer means outdoor cook outs, porch sitting, porch dance parties, beach sittin', boat ri
