weekend rewind

We had a pretty great little weekend around here. Enjoyed a sunset cruise and dinner with my parents Friday night... worked around the house and played on the lake all day Saturday..... had a super fun couples night out on the lake Saturday night.... went to a new splash pad Sunday while Mikey golfed and then I got to go get my baby fix at a sip and see for one of my besties and her super snuggly baby Jones. Weekend should be longer, am I right?! Happy hump day! Xoxo

so long preschool

We had last days of preschool for all the kids last week, and goodbye to preschool forever for my girl. Cannot believe it. It just flies, y'all.  Of course the boys don't really get it and aren't too particularly sad or happy about it, ha.  Ice cream party in their class:-) End of year performance for the 3 and 4 year old classes, such a cute little singing  show:-). I kinda wish they'd do a little graduation though like most preschools! Three years at Union FLEW by. From first day.... To last! Come August, we will have a kindergartner!

Mother's Day weekend in the low country

We wrapped up a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend in the low country fairly late  Sunday night , but you won’t find me complaining.  We had not been to our house in Beaufort, which we affectionately call village creek (or if you hear G and T say… village cweek:-). )since NOVEMBER.  That’s probably the longest I’ve ever gone between visits and I was dying to get back down there.  House renovations kept us away as we wanted to get mostly finished with house stuff before summer, so we finally were able to head to the coast this past weekend.    My whole immediate family went and we had the best time.  Equal parts fun/busy and rest/relaxation. Admittedly, the YUCKY weather almost ALL day Saturday forced a lot of the rest/relaxation…but sometimes, days like that are good for me.  If I would have been home I would have felt like I needed to accomplish something, but being away gives you the ability to truly relax.  It was great…the kids got a little stir crazy before it finally cleared up aroun

the Friday five

1. Here we are at the end of another school year already, someone please hold me. It all just flies and just like that I'm preparing my big girl for kindergarten!! May is crazy for everyone... recital time is near so dance pictures took place this week. Love this sweet group of girls.  2. I mean, have you ever seen anything so cute?!? First time in big boy undies... capes made by request to match their superhero undies. Loves these crazies so.  3. Kindergarten orientation!! They got to tour the school and LOVED it! 4. And my last muffins for mom with my sweet girl. She was SO excited all week to show me my present, the cutest pink mason jar vase with her handprint on it. Goodness, I love this girl.  5. And finally, we are Beaufort bound!!!! Thank goodness!! It has been way too long! We tried to stay put as much as possible the past four - five months with the renovation stuff so I've been chomping at the bit to get back down to the low country. Cannot wait.   Happy Mother's

weeeknd rewind

Busy, busy, busy!  That’s what we’ve been lately:-) We had lots of family time this past weekend and enjoyed some quality hang out time with the kiddos…it was a good weekend!   We started off our weekend by having some friends and their daughter come over for dinner Friday…we took no pics, but sometimes that just means we were too busy having fun!  It was COLD (by South Carolina standards) on Friday so we mostly stayed inside, but the kids still had fun while we enjoyed catching up with our friends.    We were off early (ish)  Saturday morning  to head to North Carolina for Mikey’s grandfather’s 95 th  birthday celebration, which ended up taking place in a hospital waiting room b/c he was on a ladder and broke his hip!  What 95 year old is still climbing ladders!??  Stubborn old man;-) It was good to see a bunch of family that we don’t see very often though and spend some time with our other Glenn twins and their siblings… 8 kids together, 11 and under….chaos!    We got home late  Satu
