One massive catch up

I’m so behind, as Mikey likes to remind me;-) at least I know one person still reads this! C’s school celebrated the 50th day of school with a cute little “50’s day” celebration.  Mimi came in town to watch the boys play soccer and we took her to dinner for her bday.  My girl learning to read- and reading to her brothers. Heart melt. And then, c’s school had “lake Murray long ago day” for thanksgiving... lots of fun activities my girl enjoyed.  I can’t even with this cuteness- they wanted to “seep togeder bc we love each oder” Took the kids to a Carolina game and met up with my college besties and their kids. Chaos!  And finally- an adult night out tailgating and watching our final regular season game of the year. Too fun.  Time flies y’all- I can barely keep up these days between work, kindergarten, preschool, laundry (oh the laundry), activities and trying to maintain a social/married life so we don’t all go insane! Whew!  Now bring on the busiest month of the year!

Giving thanks

Thanksgiving is always one of my favorite holidays. I just love the coziness of gathering with family without the madness of present opening. Mikey and I both ended up with strep throat Wednesday and had to miss my family’s thanksgiving dinner Wednesday night- totally bummed me out. The kids still went though and caused ruckus all throughout Lolly and Granddadddys house with their cousins.  Thankfully, both of us felt fine Thursday and weren’t contagious anymore since we had been on meds for 24 hours- so we were able to enjoy thanksgiving day with Mikey’s family.  The rest of the weekend was filled with LOTS of snuggle time, family movies, a zoo outing, (Parents night out at the Carolina Clemson football game) and then capping it all off Sunday with church, some decorating and finally, Friendsgiving. I can’t believe we are already at the start of the craziest but most wonderful time of year!

Weekend rewind

Well, it's already Thursday. How does that happen?  Last weekend was good... nothing crazy busy but a perfect balance of stay at home/playtime and social time.  Friday night we enjoyed an impromptu get together at a friend's house.... grilled some burgers and watched the kids run the neighborhood.  We were home and asleep by 10:30.  My Ohio bestie came in town for the weekend to snuggle our newest baby bestie and we all gathered at our house starting at 3:30 Saturday to watch our gamecocks! It was WILD. 9 kids and 9 adults. But, I love these girls and those babies and as usual, we had the best time together.  Sunday seemed like the longest day EVER as I'm sure it did for most of America. My kids slept until 7, which is great for daylight savings time change. We cleaned, played, and hung out until church. And Sunday afternoon was much of the same....  Mikey's mom came in town Thursday to watch the boys play soccer and we took her to dinner for her birthday:-)  Happy Thur

Trick or treat

Keeping up with three young kids while trick or treating in a packed, dark neighborhood.... whew! We survived survived trick or treat 2017!
