Weekend rewind

Another good weekend in the books.  We celebrated a birthday Friday night... picture 10 kids running around chaoticly, pizza and a few adult beverages;-) we spent Saturday morning doing chores around the house and spent the afternoon cheering on our gamecocks! Who baaaaarely pulled out the W. #whew.  The kids did awesome at the game and we even stayed to tailgate/play afterwards a bit. We used Sunday for more house/yard work/wal mart run....  boring but necessary. And of course, it felt like 5 minutes and bam it was Sunday night!

The Friday five

1.       It’s finally fall. BUUUUUUUT, the high is 90 here today….so there’s that. I’ve shared my feelings before about the seasons…I’m 1000% a summer girl, and am not ready for our lake days and longer nights to end!  I HATE when the time changes and it gets dark  at 5:30  outside, it just makes your day seem so much shorter.   2.       The boys had a “worker” parade this morning at preschool and they both chose to dress up like “builders” like their granddaddy:) Pretty cute if I say so myself…     3.       It was Grandparent’s day at C’s school today and she was SO excited that almost all of hers were there…just missing her Mimi who lives in Augusta.  I am so glad she has four awesome grandparents in town to support her . 4.       We don’t have a whole lot planned for the weekend, going to a friend’s tonight for a casual get together for their daughter’s birthday…was thinking about taking the kids to the Gamecock football game tomorrow…. But I keep having second thoughts…it’s suppose

Weekend rewind

I'm officially a soccer mom;-). We signed Graham and Thomas up for soccer shots, which I had heard such great things about. There is no real "game" just lots of fun and age appropriate learning, which I love for three year olds.  Of course, once we got there big sister wanted to join in on the fun too.  Mikey was out of town this weekend so it was just the kiddos and me. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves:-) We had movie night Friday, ran errands Saturday morning which included a chick fil a breakfast outing and then had friends over Saturday afternoon / evening for fun and football.  We attended a birthday party Sunday and relaxed a LOT. It was pretty perfect.

Weekend rewind

Goodness, what a few days we've had. First off, we've been praying so hard for all of the hurricane victims from Harvey to Irma... what a sad mess.  Thank goodness, Irma didn't come to SC like they originally thought bc our coastal towns still got a TON of flooding as it was. However, because everyone was freaking out last week.... we cancelled our sorority girls beach weekend, which it turns out we would have been totally fine going to, urgh.  Several girls still got together for a fun night out in Columbia, so that was good... but def not the same as a beach weekend.  My girl started dance back last week and is super excited! We cheered on our gamecocks this weekend too and just enjoyed a lot of lazy/play time as a family. So it was nice,  but I was super bummed to miss our girls beach weekend!! Happy Tuesday!! Ps: Tim Duncan has started a relief fund for the US Virgin Islands. Google it.

Holiday weekend rewind

From the coast to the lake, we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. It was a good one.

The friday five

1. My babies started their second year of preschool this morning. They were SO excited and didn't even blink when I left. (Sad mama) They are going three days a week this year and I just know they are going to love it! 2. Well, it's September 1 and allllll things fall and pumpkin are already being shoved down my throat! 🙄 I like fall and all, but it's still 90 degrees here! Give it a break people! 3. I still have two, possibly three beach weekends coming up, don't ruin the end of summer for me!  4. I cannot believe it's already time for college football to start back up. Here's to hoping my cocks have a better year! Fingers crossed. And someone takes those tigers off their high horse! 5. Happy Labor Day weeeknd, hope its a great one! We are Beaufort bound!
