Weekend rewind

Another weekend come and gone, and now here we are just days away from football season. It's all just too damn fast.  We had a great weekend that started off with a little Friday night lights action.  The cheerleaders invited the little girls from cheer camp to cheer on the field at half time so we met up with friends and headed to the game. When Collins first heard about this, she said she was NOT going on the field... And as the week went on she said she'd go on the field, but "mama, I just gonna stand there, k" I'm not gonna cheer but I'll go on the field." Ha! And that's exactly what she did!! I was just super proud of her for getting out there and actually going on the field, that was a big step for my shy girl!   This picture is so special to me, two of my best friends that cheered with me in high school... 15 years later going to watch our girls "cheer" at the same stadium.  Saturday morning started bright and early, because we were g

A day in the life of the Glenn fam

I always enjoy reading other people’s posts like this…so I thought I’d pen what ours look like as well.  My disclosures😊 I work full time, this is what the majority of our days look like, but we are a family that likes to GO.  So, some days…this can vary greatly.  Some afternoons after work…we run errands and go out to eat, sometimes we go out in the boat, or we have a fun event to attend…you get the picture.    6 am : WAKE (ahem…this is a new thing, as in, it’s only happened a handful of times…I’m not even going to go there right now)  Most of the time, you can find me in bed until at least 7…I am NOT a morning person! 6:10-7 : WORK OUT (why I’m not going there….a whole other post for another day) 7:00-8  ish: shower/get kids up/ eat breakfast/play with the kids *Now that Collins just started back to preschool, Mikey will take her in the mornings and I’ll take the boys….I usually take all three kids if they are all going to Weezie’s (our caregiver).  Mornings are a mad house; duh…as

Glenn family trip: part 2

During the week, it was just the five of us and my mom...(she's a teacher so pretty much lives at the beach during the summer!)  No need to write a novel...but we had such a good week.  We beached it a lot, obviously, we snuggled, we played, we chilled, we relaxed, we went to our annual dinner at Dockside and took some pics to prove it:)...and Mikey and I even enjoyed a DATE night thanks to my wonderful mama!!   My boys absolutely LOVE the beach  One of the million outtakes.......trying to get a picture of three kids, three and under!?  So hard! Sweet and sassy girl.  Love this pic of two of my boys.  My girl and me  Lolly and three of her babies.  Pure heaven...  the beach wears everyone out!  so happy at dinner!  G, too!  pizza date.  love her.  date night with my guy. Although it wasn't a "vacation" it truly was an unforgettable week....

Weekend rewind

Our summer weekends are winding down and I'm not too happy about it. We had a wonderful weekend at home.  We did nothing Friday night and it was bliss. We took a long walk and then let the boys play in the water table:-) We spent Saturday morning being lazy... Watching cartoons, playing and having nothing on the agenda was just what we needed. We headed out on the lake around 1:30 ... We met up with a good crowd and the kids had a ball playing!  Colls now asks for me to take her picture ;-) Sweet kiddos.  We came in around 5 and my awesome parents kept the kids for the night for us! I haven't slept in without kids in the house since my girls weekend in May! It was bliss!  We had a group of 10 take a fun sunset cruise and then do dinner on the lake.... Man, I'm going to miss these weekends!  Love these girls! Lazy Sunday afternoon. Love these three so.  Here's to another week! Xoxo

Glenn family "trip" : part one

Because I tend to have picture vomit in my posts...I thought I'd break up our vacation into a couple of posts.  It's funny that right around the time we were getting ready to go, that article started floating around facebook talking about the difference in a trip vs. vacation......we were DEFINITELY on a trip....but a fun one, nonetheless.  I mean, what do you expect when you have three kids, three and under?   Definitely not a "vacation".....ha. Mikey had been out of town at banker's school the week leading up to our "trip"...and had a bachelor party to go to the first weekend we were down in Beaufort, but it was fine since my parents were there... and let's be honest...I've been too WAY more bachelorette weekends than he has...he was due some fun:)  I loaded up the kids and packed a family of five for 9 nights at the beach by myself...AND our A/C was out.....yeah, I definitely deserved a medal for that! We had a nice, low key weekend with m

Weekend rewind

We headed off to our happy place for another weekend, but this time with friends! We had a BLAST:-)  seriously, such a good time. Everyone got their around 8 Friday night and we had a piazza party and let the kids play till almost 10. Once they went to bed the adults stayed up laughing, talking and sipping for quite a while;-) Look at this gorgeous sunset pic my friend took.... THIS is why I love this place.  The guys played golf super early Satueday morning so we could all hit the Beach after morning naps for the boys and lunch. It was one of those perfect days... Windy, beautiful and so much fun.  The best part may have been all the dads taking the kids back to the house and letting us mama's enjoy some solo beach time, talk about heaven!  We didn't leave until almost 7! Not wanting our summer weekends I end.... Xoxo
