How many siblings do you have?
1 brother and a FABULOUS sister-in law!  I have a brother in law and sister in law on Mikey's side as well :-)

What is your all-time favorite television show?
Gosh...favorite ALL TIME?  That's hard.  I'm going with Friends.  Classic and amazing.  Just to throw some more fun into this: my current faves are: Scandal, Nashville, Modern Family, Love it or List it and Property Brothers.

Where is the best place you have ever vacationed?
Hmmm...I am no world traveler by any stretch of the imagination.  Seriously, besides the US I've only been to Mexico and the Bahamas.  BOOORING.  I've been to several of the big cities (NYC, Boston Chicago, Vegas....) but the best place I vacation is Beaufort, SC.  It provides me with peace and relaxation like no other and that to me is the BEST kind of vacation.

What is your favorite room in your house?
Old house: kitchen ;  New house: master bedroom (maybe one day I'll share pictures!)

What are your three must have beauty products?
MASCARA, chapstick, and concealer/highlighter

How did (if you have children) pick their names, or what are your favorite baby names?
ummm...the movie the blindside.  *kidding*  Well...only partially kidding.  I know of another Collins...but seriously, seeing the name Collins written out in Southern Living when interviewing the Tuohy family from The Blindside sealed the deal.

What is something that you have overcome this year?
Ehh...nothing really.

What are you favorite places to shop?
Clothes?  Piperlime, Loft, Nordstrom, Belk     House: Ballard Designs, Strobler (local), Pottery Barn, One King's Lane...

Where would you like to live if you ever had to move?
The lowcountry, somewhere on the intracoastal waterway,  if I HAD to move. I'm pretty smitten with our current location.  In a neighborhood on Lake Murray (where I grew up), 1 mile from my parents...doesn't get much better than that for me.

What advice would you give your sixteen year old self?
Oh goodness....  boys are NEVER worth fighting with your girl friends over, your parents are (mostly always) right, and wax your eyebrows!

Why do you blog?
For an online scrapbook.

  1. HA!!!!!!!!!!!! I just laughed out loud at Elle Woods. I've been called "legally blonde", but not in the court room. Not cool!

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
