Glenn fam vacay- part 2

I still can’t get over how much we lucked out with the weather- we had one storm the very first Saturday afternoon and that was it! It was gorgeous all week! Going to harbor town and listening to Gregg Russel was probably one of the highlights for the kids - along with getting ice cream after dinner two nights. They also really enjoyed the day we went to Hilton Head and hung out with friends at their resort pool. We crammed in LOTS of fun times on this trip- but we also had plenty of down time which is just as necessary. It’s always a week to remember 💗

Glenn fam vacay- part 1

We had another amazing family vacation at our family house in the low country. We hopped around from going to the beach at Fripp Island, going on the boat and hanging out at the sandbar, and hanging out by the pool. We had NINE nights of family time and it was just what we needed. Just like the saying goes, a family vacation is more accurately described as just doing the same shit in a different place - at least we had a week off work! We rested a lot, rode bikes, took golf cart rides, watched movies, and enjoyed two different trips to Hilton head.  Coming back to reality was no fun.

(Backup) Weekend rewind

Last weekend was all about our boys- we had all of w grandparents over for dinner Friday night- such a special treat to have them all in one spot.  After the bday party Saturday, we headed out on the lake with friends- we enjoyed a super fun afternoon and then headed back out to watch the fireworks with adults only around 6:30.  Sunday was the actual birthday- and they certainly had a big day. We went to the zoo to spot the baby gorilla that has recently been born, ate out for lunch and dinner(!!), went to a friends roller skate bday party and enjoyed a boat ride and pelicans snowballs.

“Easy button” birthday party

2018 marks the year I threw in the towel on attempting “Pinterest” parties. And it was amazing. I do love to throw a party, and host- so I did truly enjoy all of the parties we’ve hosted at our house, but it’s a lot of work and time and money. So this year was the year of the “easy button” birthday party!! We rented a picnic shelter at our local splash pad and about 20 Kids ran wild for about an hour and a half. I showed up with Publix cupcakes, goldfish, capris suns and some balloons. Done. The boys had an absolute BLAST and we were done and heading out on the lake by 1! I always hate taking up someone’s Saturday- so we started at 10:30 and were wrapped up by 12:15! Pretty perfect. Zero “perfect party pics”, it was total chaos, and hot as HELL- but seeing my boys have a ball with their friends was all I needed.
