Weekend rewind

Picking pumpkins-a family race to support our sweet friend, Leo and SMA- a gamecock win- AND Boo at the Zoo. (Not pictured: Friday nights adult Halloween party x2😱).  I'd say it was a jam packed weekend. But, a fun one too. Can't believe Halloween is already here!!

The Friday five

Welp, I just realized I never recapped our weekend, the one thing I'm normally good at with blogging. So I'll just cram it Into this post.  1. We had a fairly low key weekend again, and it was amazing. C's school had a trunk or treat Friday night which was fun, and then some friends came over to hang out and eat dinner with us after.  We had errands and a birthday party Saturday, while Mikey stayed home and painted the stripes in the boys room, we had put it off long enough! We spent Saturday evening hanging out with friends and enjoying watching the kids play outside. Sunday was a day full of laziness, play time, snuggles and naps. A total Sunday win.  2. It's breaking my heart to see how "big boy" my babies are and just so fast. I love these stinkers more than life. 3. It's fiiiiinally feeling like fall around here. In an effort to take some things off my plate, i tend to "go go go" allllll the time.... and I even needed a little break recently

Weekend rewind

We had a much needed, lazy weekend. Friday night was family movie night.... captain underpants, kids loved it.... I dozed on the couch;-).  Saturday was spent enjoying having nothing on the calendar during the day.... lots of play time, snuggles and rest!  We did venture out Saturday night for a naming ceremony for my besties new baby. And then hung out at a friend's for a couple hours after while the kids played.  Most of Sunday was spent much of the same as Saturday. I made the kids an awesome fort😊 We did sneak in some fun friend time Sunday.... we spent a few hours last Sunday afternoon at a friend's house.... it was so fun and a perfect way to end the weekend.

Caro in Cali

I got home way past my bedtime Sunday night after an incredible three night getaway to LA. My high school bestie lives out there with her husband and I've been dying to visit, the timing finally felt right and I booked the trip!  We had the best time just catching up and sightseeing all over the place. Which is exactly what I wanted to do. We did Beverly Hills / Rodeo Drive, shopped around Ventura blvd, caught the most amazing sunset from the Santa Monica pier, spent an evening near Venice beach at a food truck festival, hung out in Malibu on the beach for a day, and  explored the Griffith observatory at night ... with lots of good meals, laughter, long talks, and even some rest time in between. It was such a perfect long weekend.πŸ’›
