Sail on over across the sea....

Graham and Thomas are turning THREE! Can't believe it, wish it weren't here.... but it is... so we will celebrate my babies turning 3. We had such a fun afternoon with family and friends.... a bounce house, slip n slide, baby pool, squirt gun station... and the lake. There was definitely something to do for everyone;-) My boys had a blast and that's what counts, although mama and daddy were exhausted! Lots of work to have a big shin dig like that, we had like 28 kids! Fun fact: we had three sets of twin boys there, three and under! Of course, ours and Mikey's sister made two of them! I'll let the pictures do the talking:-) I told my sister in law (crazy talented baker and artist) to just copy the invitation and I LOVED the cakes. This was the first year we did one for each of them, I think they enjoyed that.  The wind wasn't too kind to my cheap tablecloth backdrop;-) or the banner but it was adorable.  After the party was over and everyone has changed, I realiz

weeeknd rewind

We had a BUSY weekend, I was BONE tired by the time I crashed into bed  on Sunday night .  But, so much fun was had!    We started our weekend off  Friday night  having some friends over who we don’t see all that often…. Mikey’s college friends and their wives.  We had the best time together hanging out….and even had a sitter come over for an hour so the adults could take a little sunset cruise.    We worked around the house almost ALL day Saturday and Sunday…well, in between jumping in the lake for a few to cool off.  We had G and T’s birthday party at our house  Sunday afternoon  and needed to get our yard looking good for it….and just had lots of random little chores we needed to accomplish.  It did start raining a little  Saturday afternoon , so we enjoyed a couple hours of couch cuddles and silly faces during the storm.  Mikey and I went out to dinner with a few friends  Saturday night  which was fun.  Then, it was up early again Sunday to do final party prep.  The party started

the Friday five

1. Cheer camp cuteness 2. New dresses! I've been on the hunt for casual-throw on dresses and finally found a few from Gap. I was looking for something simple, not trendy/off the shoulder.... and I think these fit the bill. I can dress them up with jewelry and wedges or throw them on with sandals for some errands. They are super comfy too.  Got this one in pink and black 3. House stuff.... I'm obsessed with pictures.... of family and friends. I love a house that displays pictures, it makes me happy. We don't have a ton of wall space in this house which stinks... and my "gallery walls" are used to display professional family pics.... so I think I'm going to order two of these for the family room/playroom. One for pictures and one to hang kids artwork.  4. More house stuff.... I've always admired Teil Duncan's prints. I think I want this one... now to find a spot for it.  5. We are in full party mode over here this weekend.... celebrating my babies turnin

runnin' ragged

Whew. I need a breather. While I normally LOVE to be on the go.... I'm feeling a little run down right now. I didn't have a moment to catch my breath this weekend and I hate starting a new week feeling "behind."  But, it is what it is sometimes.  Part of the reason I was so non stop was I spent half the day traveling out of town for a funeral Saturday, unexpectedly. A 5 month olds. Words escape me. The hardest thing I've ever had to witness. Ever. My heart just aches for the parents. A living nightmare.  We also had some fun things planned his weekend, including a night out on the town to celebrate our 8 year anniversary!  We stayed downtown and the mods stayed at my parents, we went to a fancy dinner and drinks after, so nice to do things like that every once in a while.  We had a 40th birthday party to attend Saturday night and it did not disappoint.  Sunday was spent celebrating fathers day and a couple birthdays with family. We didn't even get home last ni

weeeknd rewind

Goodness, what a perfect summer weekend we had. We took off Friday so we could enjoy a long weeeknd in the lowcountry with friends. We had the BEST weather along with the best company. We spent two beautiful days hanging out on the sandbar, the kids swam, played, and ate their hearts out while we mostly were able to sit down and watch, hooray for that!  The mornings were spent being lazy, fishing, golf cart riding, and swimming in the pool. The adults were even able to sneak out Friday night for a fun evening in downtown Beaufort. I'm pretty sure my kiddos are all three taking loooooong naps today catching up from the fun, but it was well worth it! And then Sunday, we came home and attended my nephews birthday party and then I raced back home to host a sprinkle for one of my best girls. Whirlwind.... and I sure was tired last night but wouldn't trade it.  Love these girls and the mama to be! Happy Monday!
