My maternity wardrobe. For now.

I wore my first official "maternity" shirt today. It still isn't really necessary as many of my tops still fit and you can most definitely find plenty of tunics/empire waist shirts this season that double as maternity wear. I just really liked this tunic I ordered from Gap so I was ready to wear it! I will be interested to look back at this when I am in the last bit of my pregnancy and see what all changes. I haven't worn any of my maternity pants yet as the Bella Band seems to be doing the trick for now and I've been wearing a ton of dresses. Although, I will say that as convenient as the bella band is so you don't have to buy tons of maternity pants, mine constantly rolls down and it gets pretty annoying. I have the Target brand one and the real one, and they both do it. I've tried wearing them several different ways but they just don't stay put that well. Target Be Maternity camis. I got one of these in black and white, they are great for lay

22 Weeks...keep on truckin' along!

My colleague that takes my weekly bump pictures told me I needed to put my hand under my belly to start accentuating the bump. I guess otherwise I just look like a little chubster. Ha! How far along? 22 weeks Size of the baby? A spaghetti squash. Maternity Clothes? Bella band for pants, skirts. No maternity tops yet. Stretch Marks? Not yet. But, my mom had them and I hear they are hereditary, but she said hers went away fairly quickly. I’ve been using Palmer’s and Bio Oil several times a week. Movement? YES! So cool J Mikey got to feel her for the first time Monday night. It was too stinkin’ cute to watch his face when he realized what it was. Sleep? Still sleeping good. Food Cravings? Nothing yet. What I Miss: Same as past several weeks. ;) Shopping for cute clothes, I realize this should be a blessing considering all the money I am going to be spending on baby girl and her nursery in the next few months BUT I am missing out on the trendy fall st

My Best Friend's Wedding: Part 1

One of my beautiful best friends got married this past weekend. I misplaced my camera cord recently which is why I haven't uploaded pics. in forever. ....so here goes! We took the bride to the beach for a weekend in September for her bachelorette party. It was wonderful...although admittedly a little different for me, this was my first bachelorette I attended as a "preggo/stand by and watch everyone else enjoy cocktails" attendee. ha! Beach photo shoot, the bride with her best friends from home. Shot time! Yep, I was the picture taker:( Love:) The whole group out Friday night! Some of the girls at dinner. We enjoyed one night out on the town...and one night in. It was the perfect mix. We watched our Gamecocks beat GEORGIA in a super tense game. We stayed up late talking, slept late, sunned our buns, gifted the bride with lots of fun lingerie, and ate too much. I think it was the perfect weekend, and I know it was exactly what the bride wanted! And that's all

21 Weeks...over the "bump"!

YAY!!! I did it! Over the half way mark, I cannot believe it. I know the second half will be the hardest, but I am just so happy to be over half way there. *Pictures are rough, when did I get so pale? Ick. How far along? 21 weeks Size of the baby? The length of a carrot, about a pound. Movement? YES! So cool ! Sleep? Still sleeping good. Food Cravings? Nothing yet. What I Miss: Same as past several weeks. ;) Symptoms: OMW y’all. Let me just gripe for a second. First off, realize how thankful I am that I have had a fairly easy pregnancy thus far, no sickness ever… which was fabulous. BUT, oh but…my face is STILL broken out like a 12 year olds. My face has NEVER (not even when I was a 12 year old

What's in a name?

I tell ya, the name game is HARD. Really hard. I never thought that I'd be 27 years old and pregnant and not know what I wanted to name my child. I *think* we have come up with the one , but I'm not quite ready to put it out for the world to see...you know, don't want to many people rushing to get monogrammed bubbles. Ha! Jokes! Anyways...so I can look back and remember what all we went thru to come up with a name in 20 years I am going to lay it all out there. I'll start with saying I want a family name to be somewhere in my children's names. It doesn't have to be a first name, but some name in the child's name I want to be from a family member/family. We'll start with boys names, because they got taken off the table when we found out it was a GIRL..this will be short. Mikey's middle name is Thomas...his grandfather's name is Thomas. So...we always said Thomas would be in our son's name. I always thought it would be cool to do a Tho

MIA

That's me. I haven't had a moment it feels like to catch up lately. Work has been insanely busy, which is good...but doesn't leave much time for blogging;) Soon! I must update this thing. Hopefully sometime this week... until then, happy tuesday!

Just what the doctor ordered....

We are heading to Beaufort for a do nothing, relaxing weekend. I need it, bad! Last weekend DID me in. I hosted (one at my house and one at my mom's) TWO wedding showers last weekend and we had an ALL day game day on Saturday. It was one of those "I need a weekend from the weekend" type affairs. While it was super fun, I was SUPER exhausted come Sunday afternoon. I love football, and I love tailgating. But, three games in a row...of tailgating for hours, watching the games, sitting around...not participating in the festivities that everyone else is participating in (ahem...yes, the cocktails) gets OLD, real quick. I just need a weekend OFF from it all. Mikey and I are going with my parents and my sister in law and niece. My brother had plans already. But, it will be a nice weekend to relax and put my amazing designer sister in law to work planning that nursery:) Seriously, we are going to hammer out some details this weekend, I imagine a lot of time spent on Pi

ONE more week till halfway!

Also known as 19 weeks! I'm gonna have to work on the posing for these things, I feel terribly awkward and look constipated, hahahah!! How far along? 19 weeks Size of the baby? An heirloom tomato, I guess that’s just a big one! About 6 or 7 inches and 9 ounces. Maternity Clothes? No maternity clothes yet, but I did finally have to bust out the bella band Tuesday. I feel like I for real POPPED over the past three days. I wore my regular skinny jeans to the game Saturday and then by Tuesday my work pants wouldn’t button. Crazy!!! Stretch Marks? Not yet, still using Palmer’s and Bio Oil. Movement? I *think* I finally have felt a few little kicks this week!!! It’s so hard to tell though…they are definitely soft and at night after I eat. Sleep? Still sleeping good. Food Cravings? Still nothing. What I Miss: See last week. Symptoms: None Best Moment of the Week? Thinking I felt her kick!

We took a vacation...

in AUGUST...and I only took like 14 pictures...SHAME. What gives?? I used to LOVE taking pictures...granted it's always been a little harder when it is just Mikey and I together. He's not really a fan of a million pictures, and it seems kind of silly anyways. Right? But, regardless of my picture taking inability, I still wanted to document our little summer vacay. Because it was FAB and much needed at that time. We left on Friday night after work and headed to my family's condo in Hilton Head. Here we enjoyed the BEACH, a little putt putt, eating out, shopping, etc. We were total lazy bums our whole vacation and it was absolutely wonderful. It was so nice not to be on a schedule and to do whatever WE wanted to do. One night we did dinner, putt putt, and ice cream...I felt like a little kid. It was so fun! Y'all, let me just tell you...I BEAT MIKEY AT PUTT PUTT. He was not happy about it! Ha! This is a guy who plays golf at least twice a month...and he's
