Weekend rewind.

We had an absolutely wonderful and absolutely CHAOTIC weekend in Beaufort. We had 13 adults and 8 kids at our house. Crazy? Yes!! Fun? Yes!! The kids were actually pretty well behaved.... There were just toys everywhere!  But it's nice to get away with friends and enjoy adult time at night while still getting to hang with your babies during the day. The boys played golf Saturday and the girls took the kiddos to lunch and the park. The big girls burned plenty of energy off before nap time! Our crew:-) Park time  The three musketeers  Baby Boden models. (I had to snag a pic off Instagram) Colls helping feed "baby pipah" So thankful for friends who can put up with the craziness to come hang out! Good times had by all.  And I slept 12 hours Sunday night. Very needed ;-)

The Friday Five

1.       One of my Christmas presents that I am LOVING.  I finally got the Modalu Pippa bag and it is perfection.  I ended up going with a classic black, it is GORGEOUS….in my opinion;-)     2.        Another Christmas present that we are loving is the addition of this rug to our den.  I put our old rug in the play room so we needed a new one for the den.  I thought it was a bit gray-er when I ordered it, but I actually like it a lot next to my gray couches.  ALL the fabrics I am using in this room right now, I need to be durable and washable. Enter Dash and Albert… you can HOSE this thing off…and spills just bounce off of it.  PERFECT for this stage of our life.   3.        I’m finally getting around to having the last light hung in our kitchen….hopefully I’ll get some pics after that’s done.  My dad still has a few touch up items to do, but otherwise the kitchen will be complete!  This is the light I went with for over the kitchen table.  We actually bought it from a local store in B

Christmas Day!

Last Christmas post:-) Ah. Christmas morning. Soooo Collins' "big" thing from Santa was getting a big girl bed. I wasn't really in a rush to switch her but she started crawling out of her crib so our doc told us to go ahead and make the switch. So we talked it up for a good month, how Santa was gonna bring her a big girl bed and how exciting that was etc. On Christmas Eve we let her sleep with us as a "treat" but really so Santa could set up her big girl bed in her room. I couldn't wait to see how she reacted! Y'all, it was too funny!!! My parents were there as well as Mikey's mom... She was so cute. As soon as she woke up we went to her room to see if Santa came. It was like a mixture of surprise, shock, excitement and shyness all rolled into one! The first thing she did was run out of her room and slam the door (pictured below ... Sitting in hallway) it's like she just couldn't take it all in!! Finally... She ran and jumped on her bed!!

Christmas Eve

We start out Christmas Eve with a brunch at my parents house. It's the time my immediate family uses to get together and enjoy the holiday and open presents.  My parents cook a delicious meal and the kids have a ball. It keeps getting better each year.  Lolly and granddaddy and their grandbabies!   Crazy kiddos. We try and take a minute to get a pic of just us very once in a while :-) My heart. So excited ablut her Elsa dress!!  #collinswashere Princesses! My pretty mama! Bro and sil, and graham.  We finish up at my parents house around 2 so the kids can go home and take naps before our big celebration that night. I tried to figure out a way to squeeze in church too, but there just isn't enough time in the day. Ever since my mom was little, she's done Christmas eve with her dad's side of the family. We continue that tradition today. On Christmas Eve we get together with my grandparents, aunt and uncle and all the cousins. EVERY single year since I've been alive we h

Christmas around our house plus my babies

I most certainly didn't go all out this year with my decorations and I forgot to take pictures of half of them, but nevertheless I want to document these little things for myself.  Although our tree was much shorter than what we did last year, I still think she looks purty:-) I just love the lighting in this one. Photographer, I am not. But I think it looks good! I never even remembered to get greenery for my table or nativity this year, oops.  And now some cute pics of my favorite kiddos:-) Love these babies. It feels like Christmas was months ago! How does that happen?!

The Glenn twins: month 6

HALF A YEAR!!!!!!!  Do WHAT!?!!!  I want to cry…as challenging as twins babies can be….this is it…my last “babies”….how is it possible they are already SIX months old?  NOT FAIR.   My precious boys are doing GREAT.  We’ve got a good routine down and for the most part, they stick to it.  Not much has changed since the 5 month update on that front.  They still go down around 9 at night (I’m trying to work on getting them down earlier…but y’all, the whole nursing/bathing/getting them ready for bed routine takes FOREVER.  And I’m just not worrying about the fact that they should be going down earlier…oh well.  We put Collins to bed  at 8:30  and then we have thirty minutes when it’s just us and the boys and I really enjoy those moments… big sister tends to monopolize lots of time when she’s awake;-)  Before I know it…we will be putting all three of them in the bath together and the boys won’t need a feeding before bed…so I’m just going with it for now….they are doing just fine!  And I will
