Womp. Womp. + a celebration

I just discovered that I planned my child's FIRST birthday party on the SAME day and SAME time as the ONLY home Carolina/Clemson baseball game.  WOMP.WOMP.  I am so sad about this. I am so NOT even thinking baseball season yet.  It's obviously not the end of the world...but I've gone to this game the past few years and am a HUGE Carolina baseball fan (Clemson is our biggest rival for those not in the Palmetto state know)...and we have won TWO national championships in the past 3 years and came in 2nd last year. SADS.

Although my baby turns ONE on Sunday, we aren't celebrating until March 3 since her daddy is out of town.  We were going to fly him home but it just didn't make sense...it would be too rushed and the training he is in is really intense and involves lots of studying, so we didn't want to mess that up.   I guess we will just have the TV on with the game and all the guys glued around during the party...oh well, such is life!!  Maybe Colls will bring the Gamecocks good luck:)

Invitations go out today...getting so excited!  Now I only pray the weather cooperates for the shindig ...you just NEVER know about weather here in March...it could be 80 and BEAUTIFUL or 40 and FREEZING.  Because we are having a good amount of people I am definitely hoping for sunny skies so we can take advantage of the outdoors!

Collins' BFF, Mary Brooks, turned 1 yesterday and we went to a little celebration for her last night!   C was pretty clingy, but the birthday girl seemed to have tons of fun!  She was in awe when we all sang to her, so cute.

Three sweet (non smiling) babies!  (Lochlan was getting changed and Annie was eating!)  Happy, Happy Birthday Mary Brooks!  We love you!

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
