Bahama mamas.

To recap one of the absolute BEST trips of my life. Take me back, now!

EARLY morning at the airport... yeah, that's me in the VERY back...I hadn't yet put my face on for the day...ouch.
It was overcast and drizzling when we got there on Thursday at lunch, which was a MAJOR bummer, but luckily the next two days were ABSOLUTELY PERFECT so it didn't matter.  We didn't make any dinner reservations for Thursday night b/c we wanted to be able to do as we pleased and get acquainted with everything.  We had so much fun just hanging out as a group on Thursday.  We made our way down to the CAIN (adults only) pool by 3 and obviously started drinking (heavily).  What else do you do when you are at ATLANTIS and the weather isn't that great?!? Duh.

We met the owner of Firehouse subs on that first day, and he and his wife and all their friends were SUPER nice and gracious.  They bought TONS of drinks for the pool parties on Friday and Saturday.  We decided to head over to the boat later in the day...(one of our besties dad keeps a boat there and owns a condo there which is why we were able to do this amazing trip!). So lucky.  We had the best time just hanging out and dancing/talking on the boat Thursday night.  We got pizza and half the girls were asleep passed out by 10 that night!  GREAT FIRST NIGHT!!!

Thank goodness the SUN was OUT and GORGEOUS on Friday.  We spent half the day soaking up the rays on the beach and then most of us girl spent a good while in the water park.  Yes, we celebrated 30 by acting 13.  But, y'all..it was so much fun.  They have an amazing water park....one of the slides takes you THRU an aquarium that has SHARKS in it.  I wasn't too fond of that!  By mid to late afternoon...it was time to hit the CAIN pool again....and let's just say the pretty weather brings out some WILD behavior.  I didn't really realize Atlantis was like going to Vegas, but being on a tropical island.  SPRING BREAK style pool parties, oh my!  We had so much fun at the Cain pool on Friday and Saturday afternoons.  HUGE party.  We saw some celebs (minor...but still cool.  Ne-yo and Plaxico Burris). Our waitress told us she had waited on Beyonce and Jay-z....holy wow.  That would have been fun!  Both Friday and Saturday we had the same routine starting around 3:30-4. We would hit up the Cain pool and stay there till 5:30/6 when it was time to start getting ready for dinner reservations.  Both of those nights we did dinner, casino, then night clubs!  LOTS of free drinks were had, so awesome.  We even got free drinks at the night clubs, who said 30 is old!?!   Friday night we went to the THE dance club in the resort.  I'm talking crazy lights, techno music, girls dancing as entertainment(fully clothed), etc.  It was NUTS.  And felt good to act like we were 25 again for a bit.  Or maybe 21.  Yeah...21 probably fits better for that night:)

Beautiful scenery.

 Cain pool fun.
 Before things got wild.
My favorite place to be.  THE BEACH.
 Our fabulous group.
Friday night fun.

This was on the way HOME Friday night...so many of our pics were taken with iphones and are blurry.  Sometimes iphones take such good pics and sometimes they are awful.  Dang it!
Waiting on our shuttle.
Above: dinner Friday night.  We ate at Carmine's.  Very yummy.

On Saturday we were able to spend the morning and early afternoon touring around the island on the boat.  It was seriously like living in luxury.  So, so fun.

Swimming in the beautiful ocean.

 loving life.
 so beautiful.
 love these girls.
our awesome friend who went with us PREGNANT.  She was a ROCKSTAR!
 :)
Again,Saturday afternoon was much of the same at the Cain pool...dinner was at Nobu, then it was time for the casino and bars.  Saturday night we went to a more laid back bar that had an area to dance, but wasn't so much a "night club/dance club."  More what we are used to.  Just as fun.

I don't have tons of pics from Saturday night, but this was a few of us at the bar.

Seriously, one of the most fun trips I've ever been on.  So thankful for this group of girls.  And so thankful for our best friend's dad for allowing us this opportunity.

Cheers to the YEAR OF 30!!!

xoxo

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

These are the days.

Goodness gracious, I LOVE summer.  I talk it to death every year, but it is especially important to me during this season of life where the school year brings homework/schedules/strict bed times/extra curricular craziness- I appreciate the LAZY days of summer EVEN MORE. I've tried to be intentional about taking a half day here and there to soak up TIME with my babies.  Because Lord knows, they aren't babies for long.  (Yes, I'm referring to my 7 and 5 year olds as babies- #cantstopwontstop ) When we returned from our anniversary trip, we got back early on a Tuesday and used the rest of the day to spend quality family time together.  We took the kids to a local water park, this was all of our first time visiting- and we had a ball!   That same week, my girl and I dressed up and attended her very first company banquet for dance, too much fun!  Lake days with friends are sooooo good for me- we've so enjoyed many of them this summer
