My opinion, because it's always right.

Okay, okay...I really don't think that. I'm only right like 99% of the time:)

I thought I would do a good movie and book review though...I have seen and read quite a few lately. I know everyone can't wait...*most exciting post ever, right?*

1. The American. Major snooze fest, don't waste your time. I had several people agree. So seriously, don't waste your time. They fool you pretty good with the trailer, looks like it is going to be action-packed, good story. WRONG.

2. Eat Pray Love. So...I never got thru the book, ever. This is the FIRST time that has EVER happened to me. I finally just gave up, it was pointless...I was forcing myself to get thru India...I hated that part. Welp...what do you know? The movie was the same way. Okay, maybe it had to do with the fact that I was pretty exhausted when we started watching it...but I just didn't love it. It pains me to say that because I love Julia Roberts and think she is one of the best actresses of our time, but this movie was just boring in my opinion. We literally fell asleep during her "pray" portion. What does that say about me? Oh well....
3. Black Swan: *I don't know why this picture is so small?* Anyways, I basically thought this movie kicked ASS. It's so funny, my best friend called me after she saw it and HATED it. She thought she would like it since I did...I've heard a couple of people who didn't like it, but mostly people loved it. It is crazy, intense, and beautiful all wrapped into one. Maybe it was my days spent in competitive dance and cheerleading, so I could relate to some of it. I don't know, but I thought it was freaking amazing. I fell in love with Natalie Portman and Milla in this movie... wait that sounds kinda bad, considering what they do together during the movie...goodness!! Definitely for adult eyes only. Anyways, go see it...it is a cinematic masterpiece!
4. Little Fockers: So, so disappointed. Went to see this with some of my friends over the New Years weekend when we were in the mountains. We were all wanting it to be really funny, and well..it just wasn't. I loved the first one, second was pretty good...but they really screwed it up with this one. No one in the theater laughed hardly...we kept waiting on the "punch line" so to speak and it never came. I do want to point out that a guy friend of ours loved it and thought it was the best one...who knows!
Ahh....books. My outlet. I read a lot. A whole lot. I've read over 7 books in the past month. I read so much I can't even remember what I read two books ago. It makes me happy though. There aren't a whole lot of books that don't keep my attention, I'm not generally a picky reader (except for apparently when it comes to Eat, Pray, Love...one of the most popular books ever). I can go from serious to chick lit without thinking about it. I love to mix it up like that.

1. Water for Elephants. I just started this book on the way home from Mexico and am about half way done, so I guess this can't be a full review. But, so far I love it. It's different, but I find it very interesting and very well written. What really got me interested in reading this though was the movie preview, Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon! Swoon! Looks so good.
2. Winter Garden. This is the same author of Firefly Lane, I have read several of her other books and while none are as good as Firefly Lane, they are all enjoyable reading. I really liked this one...it has a "historical" theme to it and I really enjoyed learning about some new things.
3. House Rules. REALLY enjoyed this book. I've talked about her several times...her most famous book is My Sisters Keeper. All of her books touch on relevant/touchy issues in society. This one is based on a little boy who has Aspergers syndrome and is convicted of murder. It is incredible, mostly I think because it is educational.

Okay, that's all for now!

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
