Throw Back

One more day till the weekend! We've had a pretty low key week around casa de glenn. I've been trucking along with Mad Men Season 2 via Netflix, and I have to admit, still not sure I see the big fuss. I mean I like it and all, don't get me wrong...but good golly, how many affairs can you watch take place over and over. Gets kinda old. I keep hearing people say it gets sooo much better in the second season, but not quite sure I agree yet. I am happy to say we will be having Dexter Season 1 delivered next...now that is a show I think will keep me entertained. I have heard over and over and over how obsessed you become with it, let the obsession begin!

We are heading to Jacksonville tomorrow to visit Mikey's sister and family, looking forward to spending a day on the beach with my precious niece and nephew. *so sad my beach days are dwindling* We are going to the Jacksonville Jaguars football game Saturday night...Mikey's brother in law works at the stadium and got us all tickets. Even though it is just pre season, it will definitely make me realize summer is almost over when I attend a football game in August!

Now on to throw back thursday....this weekend last year we had a Sunset Shower for one of our very good friends on Lake Murray. We had the party at a friends parents house and it was perfect. Although, sunset in August on the lake makes for a HOT HOT day...we all had a wonderful time.

To my boys {almost two months late}

MY BOYS: A whole hand.   I can’t believe it.   The past five years have gone by at lightning speed!   You two silly, crazy, sweet, handsome boys celebrated FIVE like you do all other things- with genuine excitement and happiness in your hearts.   Y’all love life to the fullest and have the best imaginations- I could sit and listen to the two of you “play and talk” to each other ALL the live long day.   Y’all rarely fight, but when you do you make up within like 12 seconds, you boys are so different, but yet so the same.   You’ve both grown up in SO many ways and sometimes I have to blink to remind myself you are still my babies (because you are and always will be) but you both still have remnants of “babyhood” that I sure hope stays around a little longer.   It’s been a complete JOY to be your mama the past five years, as much as I want to keep you this AGE FOREVER, I know it’s not possible and am excited to watch you two grow and blossom in l...

What's in a name?

I tell ya, the name game is HARD. Really hard. I never thought that I'd be 27 years old and pregnant and not know what I wanted to name my child. I *think* we have come up with the one , but I'm not quite ready to put it out for the world to see...you know, don't want to many people rushing to get monogrammed bubbles. Ha! Jokes! Anyways...so I can look back and remember what all we went thru to come up with a name in 20 years I am going to lay it all out there. I'll start with saying I want a family name to be somewhere in my children's names. It doesn't have to be a first name, but some name in the child's name I want to be from a family member/family. We'll start with boys names, because they got taken off the table when we found out it was a GIRL..this will be short. Mikey's middle name is Thomas...his grandfather's name is Thomas. So...we always said Thomas would be in our son's name. I always thought it would be cool to do a Tho...

25 weeks....yesterday!

Holy moly!!!! Baby Girl is doing some maaaayjah GROWING:) How far along? 25 weeks. Size of the baby? 13.5 inches and a pound and a half, grow baby girl, grow! Also known as an “average rutabaga”…um, okay. I’ll take Baby Center’s word for it. Maternity Clothes? Same as last week. My wardrobe is shrinking! I have bought several maternity tops, but most of them still look way too big. Still haven’t made the transition to maternity pants even though the bella band aggravates me sometimes. It’s the worst with my work pants, it constantly rolls down. I need to just suck it up and make the switch. Stretch Marks? None have appeared yet, still using the Palmer’s and Bio Oil a few times a week. Movement? Same. It’s so crazy how hard my belly gets at night, it is like she is all knotted up in one place. And the BELLY gets insanely BIG at night! Sleep? Eh…it’s been okay lately. I toss and turn a bunch. Food Cravings? Nothing crazy yet. I have been eating lots of peanu...
