always plannin.

During the summer months (May-August) there are 18 weekends. We were out of town for 12 of them, 12! When we were in town, I had to fill our time with some big event, sometimes it was a wedding...or we would plan a big lake day with lots of friends. I C.A.N.N.O.T. not have things planned. I take one look at my calendar for the next few months and BAM, just like that I am thinking of places to go, parties to host, or things to do. I love being busy, we both love hanging out with our friends and family...but it sure does make time fly by. Of course, I love and need my lazy Sundays every now and then...but otherwise we love to constantly be on the go.

Let's take fall for example, we really aren't going that many places, Charleston a few times for weddings and football, and a super fun Chicago trip for my birthday; but other than that we are home a good bit so we can go to Carolina football games. I was looking yesterday, and realized we have two open weekends this fall with nothing to do....I immediately started looking up plane tickets to see if we could swing going to an away game. What is wrong with me? I think sometimes I feel like I have to get all this out of the way before we start having kiddos, but let's be honest...I'm sure we will still want to be on the go a little bit then too, with the help of wonderful grandparents!

This month alone, we are traveling to Beaufort twice, Charleston once and Jacksonville. Four weekends in a row. Exhausting? Yes. Would I have it any other way? No. It's like I feel like the weekend is a waste if there is nothing planned. Call me crazy.

Exciting events coming up for The Glenn family: (cause I am so sure you all care) but I am OCD about putting it out there and having it "calendared":

This weekend: Beaufort with 20 of our best friends
Labor Day weekend: half spent on the lake with friends, half in Beaufort with family
September 11: HOME football (These days entail all day drinking/tailgating and make for a loong but fun Saturday! Especially if we win!)
September 18: Charleston wedding
September 25: wedding in town
October 2: CHICAGO for my 27th birthday....another post for another day, hate getting old!
October 9: HOME football and hosting a baby shower
October 16: NOTHING PLANNED. We play Kentucky away, this is what I was looking at to see if we could fly to Lexington....too expensive for a quick trip. So then, I started thinking I should host a game watching party.
October 23: wedding in town
October 30: HALLOWEEN, HOME football, most awesome weekend ever.
November 6: Charleston; Citadel Homecoming weekend; we have a house rented with 15!!
November 13: NOTHING PLANNED. The second weekend of nothing to do in the fall, perhaps we should road trip it to Gainesville, I've never been!
November 20: HOME football.
November 27: Thanksgiving...thinking of going to the mountains with friends. We play our rival Clemson this weekend AT Clemson, not trying to hate...but we HATE going to Clemson, and yes it is because they usually beat us and it is no fun. I'm a sore loser, what can I say!?!

Okay, now that I have lost anyone who may be reading this....with all this going on...I still want to plan another trip during our "nothing planned" weekends. Have I lost it or what? I just like to be planning something all the time.

In the meantime....less than a week until we will be celebrating our COCKS!!!

This just got me really excited...I can hear 2001 playing now=)

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
