Random Musings for this wednesday

I've been MIA. I have felt like shit the past few days...who gets a head cold in August when it is freakin 100 degrees outside? This girl. That's who. I have big plans this weekend and this junk best be long gone by then.

We had a very nice weekend in Jax, got some much needed beach and relaxation time. We were supposed to go to the Jags/Dolphins game but it POURED around game time and we never wanted to leave the house. The game ended up not starting for almost two hours, so that kinda sucked. We just ended up staying in and watching When In Rome....save yourself the time. We had to pick a "kid friendly" movie that everyone would enjoy, well...that's hard. Anyways, it was okay....pretty silly actually.

I'm SO excited to buy some things with my GAP friends and family this weekend....these are a few of the items in my shopping bag:

Nine West over the knee boots, this has been such a hard search for me. I want over the knee, but I swear 90% of the cute ones are flat, I need some sort of heel/wedge. I don't like being short dang it. I would like these in black and gray, we will see how that goes.
LOVE these!

Always skinny in black...because, duh...they always make you look skinny! Ha! I wish....

In other news I ordered some faux black leather leggings from Forever 21 this week. Does this make YOU laugh as much as it makes ME? I just want to try them and see what they look like, no harm in that right? I mean I would totally wear them with something that covers my thick thighs and rear...with some over the knee boots. We shall see, at least I will get a good laugh out of it. I also ordered a super cute faux black leather jacket, and then got an e-mail the next day that it is out of stock and they don't plan on adding any more. WTF? Excuse me...but take the damn thing off your website if it is out of stock, nothing gets me fired up more than that....If I was a millionaire (and thought that cropped leather jackets may be in style for more than a season or two) I would make this bad boy mine....okay can't copy the picture for some reason, but anywho, the cropped soft lamb skin leather jacket from loft, it is to die for. It looks so soft I think I could sleep in it. Preferably in camel if anyone who reads this decided they want to spoil me for my birthday!!! *wishful thinking*

Happy Wednesday!

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
