I can’t believe our summer weekends are almost over….seems it was just two weeks ago we were celebrating the start of summer. Urghh, so sad. Anyways, we certainly enjoyed LOTS of outdoor/lake time this weekend. We have also been celebrating our ALMOST kindergartener a LOT!
On Thursday, Collins and I had a lunch date for school supply shopping and a trip to Rushs, her choiceJ And then Thursday night, the boys spend the night out so Mikey and I could have a special night with JUST Collins. We started with meet the teacher and then went to dinner by boat, again…her choice of restaurant. I think she enjoyed it, and we won’t even go into the fact that she starts kindergarten TOMORROW!
Mikey was out of town with the guys Friday night, so I took the kids to the library after work and we rented a few movies. After pizza and a movie with all of them, I put the boys to bed and let C stay up late with me watching Pippi Longstocking…she absolutely loved it! And I let her sleep in bed with me, which may have been her favorite part;-)
Saturday was busy, errands, birthday parties and then it was time for LAKE DAY. We had friends over and swam and played and ate and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The kids had a blast and stayed up way too late, but that’s what summers are for, right!? I was terrible at taking pictures, urgh.
I spent Sunday morning cleaning the house and doing laundry while Mikey helped some friends move and then we spent the afternoon with family. Lake time + family + swimming + jet skis+ sunset boat ride to see the purple martins = a wonderful Sunday funday.
It was a good one!
