weekend rewind (and another wedding)

Another weekend, another wedding!  Seriously though, we just attended our third wedding weekend (both rehearsal and wedding) of 2016…and we have one more in two weeks! We aren’t used to that pace anymore… during the years 2009-2012, we probably went to 12-16 weddings a year, no joke!  It was cray and SO fun!  But, since then our wedding circuit has slowed majorly… obviously as baby showers and kids birthday parties now take up our weekendsJ  But, for some reason 2016 is the year of weddings again, and we have 6 so far this year!  Luckily for us, this one was in Beaufort so we made a family weekend out of it and stayed at our house down there.  Thankfully, my parents kept the kids both nights for us.  Such wonderful grandparents we have!  The rehearsal dinner and wedding were beautiful and FUN, FUN, FUN! Saturday (day) was spent getting the pool ready at our house and playing with the kids…the cousins had the best time together and absolutely LOVE being down at “village creek.”  (what we call our house down there).  We finally took our first boat ride of the year on Sunday and it was perfect.  We stayed later than normal Sunday and didn’t get home until 10 last night…so I’m pretty pooped today but luckily the kids slept almost the whole way home! It was such a fun weekend, one of those that you wish didn’t have to end.

All the girls with the bride at the rehearsal dinner!

Sweet boys loved playing together.

 Wedding fun!

Sunday fun:-)

And then this happened on the way home last night, be still my heart.

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
