Thursday thoughts

1.       It really makes me MAD when it rains on perfectly good summer weekends.  I know that’s ridiculous…but our summer weekends are so precious to me and I cannot stand when we can’t be out on the water due to rain.  And yes, it’s calling for rain here this weekend.

2.       Fitbit activity: I tell you what…I have to jog for 30 minutes on the treadmill to get my 10,000 steps in!  I try and get up and walk around at work…but I gotta work!  The nature of my job calls for me sitting in front of a desk ALL day long…and if I’m not it’s because I’m in Court, which means I had to drive to get there…more sitting.  Most days….if I don’t workout (which is way more often that I do…) I get about 6-7,000 steps in.

3.       I’m craving a home renovation.  BAD.  I need to find a fixer upper and get to it, stat.

4.       I still want a fourth child.  My husband does not (at least right now).  My head tells me no, we have three healthy (for now, praise God) children, kids are EXPENSIVE, etc.  But, my heart?  My heart aches for another baby.  I’m crazy.

5.       Speaking of babies, my boys will be two in less than two months.  That’s just not right.  At all.

6.       I feel like I’m 70…I’ve been having the worst back pain after sleeping all night.  I got rid of our super thick mattress pad to see if that would help.  I toss and turn all night because of it.  I’ve never been to a chiropractor, but maybe I should start?

7.       I need to go buy about 10 new pairs of earrings.  I’m the WORST offender when it comes to losing just one.  It’s so annoying.

8.       My girl has her second dance recital next weekend…she’s going to be in three dances!  I can’t wait to watch her😍

9.       I lost a few pounds at the beginning of the year, but  now I’ve hit a plateau.  I need to do something new to get going again, I just don’t know what.  The biggest trait I am jealous of in other people is dedication and discipline with working out and eating healthy.  I don’t have either, ugh.

10.   Last, i don’t consider myself a super vain person…but ever since the boys were born, I’ve had ONE eye’s eyelashes completely change texture and length.  It is the CRAZIEST thing.  They curl up like crazy now, so much that mascara gets all over my eyelid when I apply it…where as they used to be long and straight with a natural upwards angle.  And the mascara goes on clumpier than the other side…something about the texture is different.  It drives me nuts.  I’ve never really had to worry about the great “mascara debate” b/c my eyelashes were always one of my better qualities.  Not so much anymore.  One eye looks fabulous and the other is a hot mess.  HELP!

  2. 1. HOW are the twins almost two? Get out of here. 2. how cute is Collins in her dance outfit omg. 3. I was scared as hell to go to a chiropractor but after having awful pain a few weeks ago (which turned out to be a pinched nerve) I caved and went to see one and holy cow...now I know why people go so much. I went for three consecutive visits to quickly lessen the pinched nerve pain but it definitely made my back feel better overall and the adjustment (which I was scared of and no idea why. just freaked me out) was not bad at all!!! Try it! I feel 70 as well, I swear. Maybe 80. Maybe 90 today with a hangover. bahahaha #momprobs

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
