One last hurrah.

I’m super excited about our weekend, which starts at 5:00 today. Although, I wish I wouldn’t feel like a beached whale in a bathing suit… this will be our LAST little mini vacay before our whole world gets turned upside down.  The doc gave me the go ahead to take off for Beaufort for ONE LAST time this weekend.  (I could probably be fine just being IN Beaufort (it’s only 2.5 hours away) but it’s more the fact that we go out on the boat while there, and ummm….going into labor in the middle of the intracoastal waterway?  Not so good.  It’s not really that I think going into labor is that close, but you just NEVER know (says my BFF who just had her first baby at 33 weeks!).  So anyways, this is it.  Our last family vacation (as a family of 3) before the boys get here.  I say vacation, but really…it’s just a long weekend, we are only taking Friday off; but it will still be nice.  That one extra day in the sun helps soothe the soul.

We will arrive Thursday night around 8 and have three full days of sun/relaxation/fun/boating/beach/pool.    CANNOT wait.  Mikey and I even get to sneak off Friday night for a little date night to celebrate our FIVE year anniversary.  A big celebration will have to wait.  This year I’m happy to just be doing dinner.  The plan is to do the beach all day Friday, the boat all day Saturday and the pool all day Sunday.  We like to mix it up, ha.

After this weekend, the countdown to a GLENN PARTY OF FIVE will be ON.

My happy place!

Everyone have a great weekend!!

Xoxo

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
