Halfway there!! {19 weeks}

* So, how cute is my hubs? In case you missed it, he surprised me and guest posted on the ole blog yesterday. He's a mess, but man do I Iove him. Of course as I read I cried and laughed and then immediately called him asking when he wanted to go play golf... I figured that couldn't have been for nothing, he swears it was... We shall see. Regardless, I loved it.*

HALFWAY THERE!!!!!!!

Maybe more, who knows!?!  *Again, I am not a doctor; but mine told me 36 weeks is average delivery for twins and since Collins was born at 38 weeks he promised me I wouldn’t go over that.  Anywhere from 35 to 37 weeks would be perfect.  35 weeks is not crazy early for twins….of course I don’t want them to come too early.

Size of babies:  an “heirloom tomato”…8.5 oz and around 6 inches.

Size of mama:  Big…this belly is out there.  I’m OKAY with it, it’s just weird and scares me for what I will look like come May….YIKES.  I am still wearing mostly normal clothes… I wear the bella band with all of my work pants, but I HATE the bella band with jeans, so I have switched to maternity jeans when I wear jeans.  It just sucks because the maternity jeans are still kinda big and stretch out fast….so there’s that.  I’ll throw on a maternity top every once in a while, but mostly still wearing regular ones, I’m sure that won’t last much longer though.

How I feel:  Hmmm….  I feel GREAT most of the time.  But, ME OH MY….the soreness and pressure is getting to me.  There is NO way I could work out this pregnancy even if I wanted to….I get SO sore just walking 1.5 miles around the neighborhood.  I try and do that several times a week because there is no way I can do any other exercise.  I’ve been assured this is normal….second pregnancy + bigger uterus for twins + TWO babies = more pressure down there.  And I definitely feel it.  It hurts to cross my legs sometimes.

We have our big 20 week ultrasound next Friday, March 14 and I am looking forward to that.  PRAYING every day that these boys are healthy.

I FELT THE BOYS MOVE right at 18 weeks, so that was fun.  I feel them pretty regularly now….such excitement.  Still very light flutters at this point…but love that feeling.

I’m afraid I’m nearing the end of the “easy” part of this pregnancy….let’s pray it last a while longer….

xoxo

What's in a name?

I tell ya, the name game is HARD. Really hard. I never thought that I'd be 27 years old and pregnant and not know what I wanted to name my child. I *think* we have come up with the one , but I'm not quite ready to put it out for the world to see...you know, don't want to many people rushing to get monogrammed bubbles. Ha! Jokes! Anyways...so I can look back and remember what all we went thru to come up with a name in 20 years I am going to lay it all out there. I'll start with saying I want a family name to be somewhere in my children's names. It doesn't have to be a first name, but some name in the child's name I want to be from a family member/family. We'll start with boys names, because they got taken off the table when we found out it was a GIRL..this will be short. Mikey's middle name is Thomas...his grandfather's name is Thomas. So...we always said Thomas would be in our son's name. I always thought it would be cool to do a Tho...

To my boys {almost two months late}

MY BOYS: A whole hand.   I can’t believe it.   The past five years have gone by at lightning speed!   You two silly, crazy, sweet, handsome boys celebrated FIVE like you do all other things- with genuine excitement and happiness in your hearts.   Y’all love life to the fullest and have the best imaginations- I could sit and listen to the two of you “play and talk” to each other ALL the live long day.   Y’all rarely fight, but when you do you make up within like 12 seconds, you boys are so different, but yet so the same.   You’ve both grown up in SO many ways and sometimes I have to blink to remind myself you are still my babies (because you are and always will be) but you both still have remnants of “babyhood” that I sure hope stays around a little longer.   It’s been a complete JOY to be your mama the past five years, as much as I want to keep you this AGE FOREVER, I know it’s not possible and am excited to watch you two grow and blossom in l...

25 weeks....yesterday!

Holy moly!!!! Baby Girl is doing some maaaayjah GROWING:) How far along? 25 weeks. Size of the baby? 13.5 inches and a pound and a half, grow baby girl, grow! Also known as an “average rutabaga”…um, okay. I’ll take Baby Center’s word for it. Maternity Clothes? Same as last week. My wardrobe is shrinking! I have bought several maternity tops, but most of them still look way too big. Still haven’t made the transition to maternity pants even though the bella band aggravates me sometimes. It’s the worst with my work pants, it constantly rolls down. I need to just suck it up and make the switch. Stretch Marks? None have appeared yet, still using the Palmer’s and Bio Oil a few times a week. Movement? Same. It’s so crazy how hard my belly gets at night, it is like she is all knotted up in one place. And the BELLY gets insanely BIG at night! Sleep? Eh…it’s been okay lately. I toss and turn a bunch. Food Cravings? Nothing crazy yet. I have been eating lots of peanu...
