I've finally made some progress in the living room...although there are still a few major pieces missing before the room can be called complete. Regardless, it's in much better shape now and I am totally LOVING the colors/scheme I've got going on. Now, if I could just find that elusive money tree to finish it off.......
Let's all be reminded what this room looked like BEFORE we moved in:
And this is how it has looked the past year:
As I mentioned previously, we decided to part with the coffee table for now. Collins' favorite thing to do is run around the new sectional...and really, there's not much I can do stop her (all the time anyways) since she can now climb up there by herself. I feel better about her falling on the floor than hitting a corner of the coffee table, so out it went. The plan is to eventually get a round ottoman in there to use as a coffee table. I'm thinking I'm going to buy a cheap one from Homegoods or TJ Maxx or somewhere and just have it covered. Anyways, this is how things are looking these days:
LOVE the wingback covered in a fun, non traditional pattern.
Not much changed in this corner.
Closer up of the chair.
Our new sectional, The Henry, from West Elm. I am IN LOVE with it. The color is PERFECTION, a really light silvery gray...and I'm praying since it is a "performance velvet" it will hold up to stains well. I had someone on Etsy do all the pillows for me. The two fabrics are: Waverly crosss section in honeydew and Robert Allen khanjali glacier. The RA khanjali is the one we will use to have a Ballard's recliner covered in eventually. Then, thinking I will do a solid on the ottoman.
From the breakfast nook....
That damn ceiling fan....we bought a new one and just haven't had it installed yet. The way it is hanging is pretty unique so we want to get an electrician in to hang it.
Up close of the fabrics.
I also switched out the frames on the gallery wall in the hall that leads from the garage inside. I had black ones in here previously, but then I copied my sister in law (she is an interior designer, so I just can't help it sometimes!!) and got these from TARGET. I LOVE them. They are so light and airy...which is exactly the look I was going for in the den...so they flow nicely.
Working on getting the frames filled up wit new pictures:)
The major things/purchases we still need to do:
-recliner from Ballard Designs
-ottoman/coffee table
-hang ceiling fan
-re-tile around the fireplace ....get rid of that yucky beige
-finish accessorizing top of bookcase and mantle
And I think that will be IT...one day......
That's all I've got for now......Happy Tuesday!
xoxo

I love it, and your fabrics turned out great! I saw a cheap herringbone when I was looking for our fireplace here:

LOVE IT!!!! I can't believe the difference just from painting the kitchen cabinets (even though that's non-living room related, but still) The living room color scheme looks awesome and I love those frames. Come do my house next!! ;) Have a great weekend!
