I'm back!! (for jennifer!)

It's been a while since I've posted...but sometimes I just don't feel like it, point blank. I don't ever want blogging to feel like a chore, so when it does...I just don't do it. I've been really busy at work and just haven't had much time to think about it.

I started boot camp yesterday and am really excited about it. Three of my friends and I purchased it via a deal on Living Social, we meet three times a week for four weeks...I really hope it whips my butt into shape. I have high expectations!

I am detoxing this week, for real. Wow. My body has been put through a lot in the past few weeks. We've had lots of social outings during the week which has led to many more nights partaking in cocktails than is good for the body. Not to mention last weekend we had fun plans Friday night, two wedding shower Saturday and a joint bachelor/bachelorette party Saturday night! Yowzas. I'm not going to have ONE single sip of alcohol for seven days and try and only eat fruits and veggies and drink LOTS of water. Hopefully that doesn't make me sound like an alcoholic to some of you, but there is never really a full week that goes by where we don't have some sort of party/social outing or at least a girls night with some vino. I'm looking forward to a week off, I need some rest.

Two weekends ago we went to Beaufort with a lot of the family for a "deep" clean weekend. The boys poured some concrete around the pool and landscaped the whole yard while the ladies cleaned EVERY surface on the inside of the house, it was tiring! I only took ONE picture the whole weekend on my camera (I've been getting really bad about this!), but it's precious. We went out to dinner Saturday night to celebrate our hard work and enjoy someone waiting on us. My sweet niece Belle and my precious second cousin Ella were the only kids down there that weekend (there are 8 in the family!) and they loved playing with Mikey (makes my heart melt.) Whenever Mikey would give Ella some attention, you could tell Belle did NOT like that...she even said one time..."that's MY uncle Mikey!!" LOVE it. Mikey is really pretty good with kids and I love how much Belle loves him. Hopefully she always will:) Anyways, when we were leaving dinner, we took the kids outside to play for a minute and then they BOTH had to have Uncle Mikey carry them to the car...aren't they just adorable!?!

Making silly faces with Uncle Mikey

I'll have to do a full re-cap of this past weekend later...there was a LOT going on! I've got to collect some pictures from people!

But, a little more fun news to share....my best friend Jennifer got ENGAGED last Saturday night...woohoooo!!! We are so happy for them, so happy that we even traveled up to Rock Hill after coming home from Beaufort Sunday to celebrate!

Our group celebrating at Mexican!!
Yay!! With the bride to be:)
And to try and finish this blog challenge off...this is so unlike me by the way...I feel like I have severe ADD about blogging sometimes. Anyways...

Day 26: A picture of your family

As if y'all don't see enough of those already, prepare for a few more!

MY little family...The Glenn's. My awesome husband and precious girl Milly!

The Richardson clan, yes...I will always be a Richardson. No worries, Mikey still calls me Caroline Richardson a lot!! My favorite people in the world:)
The fam at the Beaufort water festival...my daddy took the picture, he had to captain the boat while we were having fun! Best daddy ever.
Just the four of us. Parents and siblings. LOVE this picture.
Okay, that's way enough for today right!?!!

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

These are the days.

Goodness gracious, I LOVE summer.  I talk it to death every year, but it is especially important to me during this season of life where the school year brings homework/schedules/strict bed times/extra curricular craziness- I appreciate the LAZY days of summer EVEN MORE. I've tried to be intentional about taking a half day here and there to soak up TIME with my babies.  Because Lord knows, they aren't babies for long.  (Yes, I'm referring to my 7 and 5 year olds as babies- #cantstopwontstop ) When we returned from our anniversary trip, we got back early on a Tuesday and used the rest of the day to spend quality family time together.  We took the kids to a local water park, this was all of our first time visiting- and we had a ball!   That same week, my girl and I dressed up and attended her very first company banquet for dance, too much fun!  Lake days with friends are sooooo good for me- we've so enjoyed many of them this summer
