So, funny story. I always check my e-mail on my BB on the way to work. I DO NOT tweet, facebook, etc. when driving anymore (unless a rare occasion calls for it). I really do think it is dangerous...there have been too many times where I have looked up and had to slam on brakes, etc. You know you all have done that too. The best thing to do is get a book on tape, it's the only way I find that I don't feel the need to check twitter/FB while in the car constantly. Anyways, I digress....so when I say I check my e-mail I really just clear our the "envelopes" that stay at the top when you have unopened messages. I don't ever like to have envelopes, they annoy me. I generally have 8 -12 e-mails/FB notifications to clear every morning...I don't even read them ( I wait till I get to work to do that) I just "clear" them. Well, I *promise Mikey* that I only do this at stop lights...I sit thru tons on my commute. Well this morning...this OLD lady started honking at me like crazy holding her hand up to her ear like a phone...so I politely rolled down my window (thinking maybe it was an emergency and she needed my phone) and what does she do...she starts yelling at me telling me not to drive and text! HOW FUNNY! I started laughing, I couldn't help it, I said not to worry I'm not! She was just so concerned...and NO, I don't buy into the notion that she should mind her own business because if I were driving and texting and not paying attention I could wind up hurting her. Regardless, I got a hoot out of this concerned citizen this morning...maybe we should all speak up a little more!
Now on to my throwback. Last year, this weekend...WAS OUR FIRST HOME GAME!!! Wahooo for that. However, in all the chaos and excitement of the week leading up to it, Mikey came down with the flu! Poor thing. We had friends in town staying with us (his best friend) and he couldn't even go to the game and hang out. He was pathetic. Well, we still went and had a marvelous time cheering on our COCKS. We were playing Florida Atlantic, nothing too exciting, but it's always good times when it is the first tailgate of the year.
It's so funny, starting junior year of college (this is when all of my girlfriends and I got our own tailgate spot, freshman and sophomore years we were too busy running from one fraternity tent to another...so by the time we were big juniors we felt "grown up" and "over" the whole fraternity tent thing, so we got our own spot surrounded by tons of our friends!) all of my girlfriends and I always take a million pictures at tailgate and they all look the same! Besides the clothes, we literally have the same picture starting in 2003! Crazy! This was our first one circa 2009 tailgate season!
A little later in the evening...
GO COCKS!!!
