Ah. Sweet summer time, my favorite season of all. I LOVE everything about this time of year; (well, maybe not everything...I hate to freaking sweat!) laying out on the beach, going on the boat, water sports, etc. I feel like in a way this is my season, does that sound weird? It is just "me" I guess, I always knew I wanted a summer wedding, there wasn't really another choice for me, it is just what I always thought of when I thought of my wedding. Whether we are in Beaufort, Charleston, Hilton Head, or Lake Murray I am a happy camper in the summer. Gimme a beach or a boat and I am set! Bring on the suntan, books, cat napping in the sun, and sunsets spent outside.
This past weekend, we had a big lake day party at my parents house, a group of our friends came up to spend the day on the water and cook out that night. Our boat was actually broken, so we didn't leave the dock....it was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our "dock party" and were constantly in and out of the water with our floats. It was a perfect day, except for the TWO 15 minute rain showers....no worries though, that didn't hold us back! We used it as our snack time. Sadly, I took NO pictures during the day and hardly any that night. I did insist on pulling the camera out for a few though later in the evening because of my belief " if you don't have a picture of it, it didn't happen!!

Memorial Day weekend was spent in Beaufort with my family; we had an amazing, relaxing time.
