In my short 26 years alive that is...
Seriously, 2009 has probably been one of the best years of my life so far. I sat for the South Carolina BAR and passed, and then even got a big girl job! My very first one...although being a real life attorney isn't quite what I thought it would be, I am still extremely proud of myself for accomplishing this goal of mine.
I got married!! (to my best friend, the love of my life...yadda yadda yadda, insert sarcasm here, sorry not one of those cheesy lovey dovey types!)
I stood beside two of my best friends when they got married.
We bought a house!! Since, I have thoroughly enjoyed renovating it, re-doing parts, decorating, etc. It's still a work in progress, but I love what we have done so far!
I experienced some amazing times with all of my best friends in the entire world....every single one of these girls means the absolute world to me, throughout the year I was able to enjoy friendships with these ladies...they each bring something different into my life. I wouldn't be who I am without ALL of them in my life. Some I have known since I was born, others were met during that awkward middle school period (and we still love each other), and others from college; but no matter what EACH of these girls helped to make 2009 incredible for me! (*yes, this is all 22 of us at my bachelorette party!!)
WE GOT A DOG. (let me repeat this). I GOT A DOG. WTH!?! WHOA. Yeah, I would have never imagined I would have/love/let her live inside/etc. a dog already. I was NOT a dog person before...but I do love my little Milly to pieces. *she still doesn't lick me though=)
I continue to have an AMAZING family that I cherish more and more the older I get.
I can only hope and pray that 2010 will be as good to me. I'm gonna go ahead and throw out some of my New Year's Resolutions so that maybe (maybe) I will actually stick to them for once.
1. Get the 8 pounds I have gained since I got married OFF.
2. Always try to put others first.
3. Join Shandon Methodist Church.
4. Get serious about working out (this relates to number 1) but I would like for working out to become something that I don't dread/something that just becomes a natural everyday occurrence for me.
5. Save money instead of spending it all.
6. Go further in my career, maybe taking that next step.
Loves!
