A little update on my girl.

My girl, my world, my everything.

Collins will be THREE in two very short months.  I’m sure I’ll have another long, sappy post then… but a lot happens in two months in the life of a toddler so I wanted to do a little documenting on her now . This child.  How I love her.  Collins is sweet and sassy all rolled into one.  She’s still very shy when we first get to a group gathering or party/etc.  Give her about 30 minutes though and she’s good to do, running around and playing like normal.  Mikey and I often laugh about how shy she is when we go to things because at home?  WOW.  The girl never stops talking, singing and being silly.  She’s a MESS and she knows it.  She LOVES to play with baby dolls, grocery store and play pretend.  She can pretend play for hours and have a ball.  Her favorite is to go to the grocery store with her dolls and “shop” with real food items and “monies.”  She’s such a good little mommy to her dolls, and it’s so cute.  She LOVES to look at pictures of herself on our phones (vain, much?)…and she loves to watch videos on you tube (cartoons, frozen, singing, anything)….she loves her princess books the most with starlight sailor coming in second.  She’s become very opinionated about what she wears which definitely leads to some struggles some mornings if she doesn’t like what I pick out for her to wear.  Sometimes I let her win, but generally not as she wants to wear summer dresses in the winter…ain’t gonna happen sister.  She LOVES to wear dresses and generally always deems her cheapest/play clothes dresses as “the most bootyfull momma.”  Go figure, right?  She’s got the potty DOWN…took her about 6 weeks total before she was completely accident free, but after about 2 weeks the accidents were very far and few between. …..not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.  I potty trained her right at 2.5…and she LOVES her big girl panties.   I would say she’s good/sweet/listens well about 80% of the time…of course there are times when we have to use time out, or lose our patience, or she pitches a fit…but they really aren’t that often and never last too long.  (Of course I’ve always heard THREE is way harder than TWO, so maybe we are in for it?!  Who knows?)  She is the BEST big sister and she has made me so very proud of how much she loves her little brothers.  She’s always thinking about them and making sure they are okay.  She loves to kiss them and play and lay with them.  She’s never gotten jealous of them or been mean to them.  She can be sassy sometimes, but mostly it just makes me giggle.  I love this little girl more than life!

Some of the cute things she says right now:

What we hear ALL.THE.TIME.:   I do it all my by self!

She calls Rapunzel, miss punzel..i mean have you ever??  Love.

“its okay buddies, momma comin…”

The other day she was counting money and I told her she was rich, she said “I not rich, I Collins.”

Mikey was telling her about the statue of liberty being a gift from France…from the French, and she said “ I not know french?”  with her little hands up ….

Milly is still nilly

Lolly is still olly….

A few recent(ish) pics... Tried to put some on here that I've never blogged before.

Hehe. She's already done with this potty and only wants to sit on the big "Polly."

Silly girl
Melt my heart.
She wants to wear those boots EVERY day.

Love my little Colls so very much.

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
