13 week bumpdate.

I lived for my "turn day" each week when pregnant with Collins. As mentioned, I don't love being pregnant so it means one week closer! It's harder this time to get an official turn date since the babies are measuring a bit different so I just picked the day in the middle, which is actually Wednesday...so forgive the late post:-)

I probably won’t do this EVERY week like I did the first time around, but I would like to do it fairly often as this will be my LAST pregnancy ever.  SO crazy.  That’s the ONLY silver lining in having twins; you get THREE babies and only TWO pregnancies.  I don’t love being pregnant so that’s great news for me.

Size of babies:  2.5/3 inches each.

Size of mama: WOAH.  I officially caved and busted out the bella band this week.  It is so insane to me how much quicker/earlier I am showing this go round.  Obviously I knew I would…most people show way earlier with their second pregnancy anyways and then add TWINS on top of that and I am DEFINITELY showing.  I didn’t even start taking bump pictures with Collins until 18 weeks (and even then it was still barely visible) so this is crazy to me.  I’m definitely going to have to invest in more maternity clothes this time.  I’m not a huge fan of the bella band, but I’m going to try and make it work as long as possible.  I just hate the feeling of how it makes your pants feel loose and bunch up in the back.

How I feel: GREAT!  I hardly had any symptoms first trimester (I guess I get pretty lucky in that department), I had a touch of queasiness a few times but nothing remotely bad.  Besides the EXHAUSTION I felt for several weeks in the 1st trimester I felt fine.  I’m praying for a relatively easy second trimester as I know I’ll probably be miserable at the end.  I definitely already feel things/pressure/etc. that I didn’t feel till at least 25 weeks with Collins, so that’s different but nothing to complain about.

Happy Thursday!!

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
