I know you have all seen those pictures floating around Pinterest of the darling little girls dressed like, well...dressed like adults. And they look ADORABLE. But, that's just not how I dress my child. While I think it's a cute look, I really prefer my toddler to dress like a toddler...she has the rest of her life to wear tunics, skinny jeans, and jeggings...I've never even bought her anything denim yet. I don't prefer denim on babies...it's just not that comfy. We may purchase her first denim romper dress this year...and she was given a pair of denim shorts...but they never seemed comfy...I just like to dress babies like babies.
Example of darling girl...it's cute to play dress up with a little girl like this...but not for every day wear in my opinion. *And yes...we all have differing opinions and that's OKAY:) This outfit is actually pretty okay with me, it's denim leggings/jeggings i HATE on little girls. MAYBE once they are like 3. But, before that they just look silly to me.
Even though I stated the other day I don't dress C in smocked clothes every day in fall/winter (not that I did EVERY day in spring and summer...but definitely most days or either shrimp and grits kids ruffle bubbles) I still prefer smocked clothes for weekends and events. I tried to post some of the adorable Le Top clothes I got recently for "every day" wear...but for some reason it doesn't look like it worked. Anyways, here's a little round up of clothes I have either already purchased or will be...or at least something very similar. And a prime example of why I don't buy myself nearly as many clothes anymore....oh well:)

Le Top...I love all of their coordinating leggings and tights and the cotton tops are so soft!

I love to see how others dress their kids...I know smocked clothes aren't for everyone...but I literally can't imagine NOT dressing my daughter in smocked clothes and a big bow:) I'm pretty traditional with boys too...hopefully one day I'll get to dress a boy...I'm scared if we have another girl I will want them to match/coordinate way too much and my wallet will be EMPTY constantly!
Happy day!

I agree! I like little girls dressed as just that! I have bought a few Shrimp & Grits outfits for Baby Evans already... trouble.
