Our sweet angel turned 11 months old on January 17.  Can I just pretend for a minute I'm not super sad about the fact that she is about to be a ONE year old?!?  I'll save the super sappy post for next time, that may take a LONG time to write.

Collins is growing by the minute, I swear she is chunkier than ever now and it is so darn cute.  Seriously, her rolls, I die.  Her little chunky thighs are the sweetest thing in the world to me.  I mean how long is it cute for a girl to have chunky thighs?!?  Yeah...not long, so I'm soaking it up while she's got them :-)  I don't know her weight or height right now, will wait on her 1 year appointment to get that information, but just by picking that booger up I know she is gaining weight!

Every day she seems older and older, but really in the past few weeks she is acting more like a toddler and less like a baby.  She is finally clapping (she was a little slow on this one and had me worried, ha!) and claps ALL.THE.TIME. now.  Especially when I start singing "if you're happy and you know it."  She gets so excited.  She's walking super fast with her push toys these days and standing on her own longer and longer each day.  Her daddy is trying really hard to get her to take her first steps soon because he will be gone for three weeks in February and he doesn't want to miss, but I think he might.  She's not quite there yet...although getting closer every day.  She loves any toy that involves a ball, she LOVES her stride to ride puppy push toy, and she still loves her thumb and lovie when she gets sleepy.  I'm still not positive we've heard any definite dada or mama sounds...although she "talks" a lot now and I do hear different letters first.  She's still the BEST sleeper, two naps per day and 12 hours at night.  She's a buck toothed grinner right now and it makes me laugh so hard.  Two bottom teeth are in and one top with one on the way.  Teething hasn't really ever been too much of a concern for her thank goodness. The separation anxiety is getting better, not nearly as bad as it was a month ago.  She's totally fine playing by herself at our house it's just when we go somewhere unfamiliar that she gets sad and wants her mama or daddy.  Her current fascination is with opening and closing doors, cabinets, drawers, etc.  She could literally do it for a good 15 minutes at a time...and that's a long time for a baby!

We took her to her first Carolina basketball game on Saturday and she really loved the lights/sounds and people watching.  She'll be getting her first taste of snow soon and I can't wait to see what she thinks.

Our schedule at 11 months:  (weekdays)

7:30: wake and bottle (4-5 oz is all she takes now) and as of this weekend we are done with bottles, only sippy cups!!
8-10: play and morning snack (her daycare lady is so good about giving her LOTS of variety of foods)
10: nap  (she will usually nap 1.5 hours)
12: 4-5 oz sippy cup and lunch
12:30-2: play
2: afternoon nap (1.5-2 hours)
4: 4-5 oz sippy cup and snack
4:30- Play
6:30-7:30: dinner
7:30: bath
8:00: 4-5 oz sippy cup
8:15: bed

And yes, that is still her 6 month onesie...I just don't feel like going to find a pale pink short sleeved onesie for two more months worth of pictures at this point...because I know that would be the only time she would wear it.  So we will just stick with the 6 month one that is a tad snug.  :-)

xoxo.

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
