There was a wedding...

Almost three months ago! *three!* Gosh, time flies! After months of anxiety thinking about how the whole thing would go down, my best friend Becca's wedding ended up going wonderfully (four week old in tow and everything)! For her wedding purposes...Miss Collins making her debut two weeks early ended up being a VERY good thing! Not sure if I would have been nearly as sane had she only been two weeks old. Throughout my pregnancy, I just went with the mindset of "what happens happens" and I will not stress about it as far as this wedding was concerned. I WAS going to BE there no matter what, without a doubt. But, as far as how much FUN/RELAXATION I was going to have during the weekend was going to depend on when Collins entered this world. Before we knew she would be arriving February 17, there was a possibility she could have been late, up to a week and I would have only had about 10 days between giving birth and being in a wedding! YIKES! I am thankful that everything ended up the way it did, a healthy EARLY baby meant that I got to enjoy myself for my best friend's wedding.

To start, I had to PUMP early to get ready for this weekend...I nursed as much as I possibly could during the weekend...but there were just times I couldn't, like the rehearsal dinner, bridal luncheon, wedding, etc. I could NOT have done it without Mikey and my parents help. Thankfully my parents came for the weekend as well and were there to be Collins' babysitters:) How nice of them! I mean can you imagine packing for this OUT OF TOWN wedding with a four week old?? I was IN the wedding...had to have stuff for three events, a newborn, and ALL of the MILLIONS of things she requires, there was SO much to think about! It was kind of a logistical nightmare...milk storage, where to nurse, etc. BUT, in the end...it all just worked out! Were there times I was stressed, of course! But, I tried not to EVER let the bride know it:) Collins got to enjoy her first wedding at four weeks old...and then my parents took her home early so Mikey and I could enjoy ourselves with our friends! I think all in all we did pretty darn good! Of course I wasn't the bridesmaid taking a million pictures (both camera batteries were dead, fail)...and I probably could have been MORE attentive to the beautiful bride...but I know she understood. I am so happy that it worked out where I was able to enjoy ALL of Rebecca and Grant's wedding festivities...cause it sure was a fun one!

The few pictures I could gather...in reverse order, of course.

Beautiful bride with her handsome groom:)
Friends!
Family of three.
Rehearsal dinner.
Can you tell I always pose the same? ha!  Standing on my tippy toes next to my TALL, skinny best friend!
Bridal luncheon.
Bridal party.
I can't believe that was almost three months ago now. It sure was one HELL of a weekend! Good times had by all, even baby Collins:)

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
