{3 months.}

My sweet girl is THREE months old today! There is a part of me that feels like February 17 was FOREVER ago, I feel like Collins has always been a part of this family...I can't imagine it without her now. BUT, of course...at the same time, time flies!! What's that saying...the years are short but the days are long. That's fitting.

 These past three months have honestly been the BEST months of my life. Hands down. Collins has brought so much joy to her daddy's and my life, we are absolutely beyond blessed to be able to be her parents. I thank God every single day for allowing us the opportunity to love on this little girl. Mikey and I always joke that our next child just has to be a terror because Collins is so good:) Does she fuss? Of course...ALL babies fuss some. But, generally she can be soothed pretty quickly one way or another. She has the SWEETEST smile first thing in the morning, she is always happy as a lark when she is woken up in the mornings. She has started to laugh so much more now...she loves to look at the mirror on her carseat toy and loves any kind of toy that we attach to her bouncy seat/car seat/wherever. She could stare at them for hours! I can definitely tell she recognizes her daddy and me now, melts my heart. She is still sleeping like a champ, she will go down by 9 and sleep until 7:30...when I have to wake her up to get ready for the day. She is still eating every three hours during the day...about 4.5 oz when she gets a bottle. I still think white noise is the BEST invention ever. We are still swaddling her at night and for naps...going to have to get rid of that sooner rather than later. *I dread that, I know it will take several nights to get used to and she will probably NOT sleep good those nights* I bought a sleep sack for the transition, hopefully it will help. She is in size 1 diapers, wearing 0-3 mo/3 month clothes...some 3 mo outfits swallow her though. She's definitely compact:) Getting chubbier by the day and I just love it! Chubby little legs are MY favorite thing ever on a baby! She's rolled over a couple of times from her stomach to her back, but not from back to tummy yet. She is still really enjoying her tummy time and we have put her in the bumpo a few times to test it out.

 I haven't taken my "official" three month pictures yet, but here are some from the past two weeks.

We love you so much Collins!

What's in a name?

I tell ya, the name game is HARD. Really hard. I never thought that I'd be 27 years old and pregnant and not know what I wanted to name my child. I *think* we have come up with the one , but I'm not quite ready to put it out for the world to see...you know, don't want to many people rushing to get monogrammed bubbles. Ha! Jokes! Anyways...so I can look back and remember what all we went thru to come up with a name in 20 years I am going to lay it all out there. I'll start with saying I want a family name to be somewhere in my children's names. It doesn't have to be a first name, but some name in the child's name I want to be from a family member/family. We'll start with boys names, because they got taken off the table when we found out it was a GIRL..this will be short. Mikey's middle name is Thomas...his grandfather's name is Thomas. So...we always said Thomas would be in our son's name. I always thought it would be cool to do a Tho...

To my boys {almost two months late}

MY BOYS: A whole hand.   I can’t believe it.   The past five years have gone by at lightning speed!   You two silly, crazy, sweet, handsome boys celebrated FIVE like you do all other things- with genuine excitement and happiness in your hearts.   Y’all love life to the fullest and have the best imaginations- I could sit and listen to the two of you “play and talk” to each other ALL the live long day.   Y’all rarely fight, but when you do you make up within like 12 seconds, you boys are so different, but yet so the same.   You’ve both grown up in SO many ways and sometimes I have to blink to remind myself you are still my babies (because you are and always will be) but you both still have remnants of “babyhood” that I sure hope stays around a little longer.   It’s been a complete JOY to be your mama the past five years, as much as I want to keep you this AGE FOREVER, I know it’s not possible and am excited to watch you two grow and blossom in l...

25 weeks....yesterday!

Holy moly!!!! Baby Girl is doing some maaaayjah GROWING:) How far along? 25 weeks. Size of the baby? 13.5 inches and a pound and a half, grow baby girl, grow! Also known as an “average rutabaga”…um, okay. I’ll take Baby Center’s word for it. Maternity Clothes? Same as last week. My wardrobe is shrinking! I have bought several maternity tops, but most of them still look way too big. Still haven’t made the transition to maternity pants even though the bella band aggravates me sometimes. It’s the worst with my work pants, it constantly rolls down. I need to just suck it up and make the switch. Stretch Marks? None have appeared yet, still using the Palmer’s and Bio Oil a few times a week. Movement? Same. It’s so crazy how hard my belly gets at night, it is like she is all knotted up in one place. And the BELLY gets insanely BIG at night! Sleep? Eh…it’s been okay lately. I toss and turn a bunch. Food Cravings? Nothing crazy yet. I have been eating lots of peanu...
