If I wasn't pregnant.....

These are the bigger items that I would be putting on my Christmas wish list:

Tory Burch sally wedges, love this fun charcoal color...feel as if they would be really versatile.

Pottery Barn Riley upholstered headboard.
Neiman Marcus mirrored chest.
David Yurman infiniti pave diamond earrings.
I won't even attempt with the clothes...I pretty much have just stayed away from looking at any fun clothes this winter...just no point in it. Of course, anything and everything that we will be getting for our sweet little girl will be WELL worth her mommy missing out on some extra indulgences. This Christmas has just already been reserved as stuff we need for the nursery/becoming parents! Which some ot it still excites me, but I can still dream about the have- nots, right?!?

Nashville recap

Well, we survived Nashville- barely;-). We left Thursday after work to drive to Nashville, we were lucky enough to get to crash at Mikey’s best friend’s house (even though he was out of town)- definitely makes the cost portion of a weekend in Nashville much more reasonable! Our purpose in going was to go to the Carolina/Vandy football game- and enjoy an adults only weekend while at it. We had TOO much fun. We ate some amazing food - Husk, The Southern, and Saltine were our tops, and danced the day away!
We spent all day Friday on Broadway and all day Saturday eating/tailgating/gaming and then out in the area near Vanderbilt. It was a good mix. Next time I go though- I’m going to a show at the Ryman- that’s def a bucket list thing for me!

Until next time!

Back to School

First grade-  how in the world did we end up here SO incredibly fast?!  Everyone talks about how time flies, but y’all- it’s unreal.  When you are little, time creeps by, but the older you get the faster it goes- and that’s when you want it to SLOOOOOOOW down.  These years are fleeting, the innocence of “young children” doesn’t last forever- and it breaks my mama heart to think how much she’ll grow this year.  I wish I could keep her sheltered from the world forever, protect her heart and her mind from all things ugly, but as much as I wish that could happen, it’s not realistic.  So, I just pray that I have done and continue to do as much as humanly possible to help her out in the real world. Raising several young children is one of the hardest and most stressful things I’ve ever done in my life,  you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders all while trying not to lose your ever loving mind on them.  It’s a constant battle- parenting, that is.  But, it’s also brings me the grea…

Monday randoms (on Thursday)

** I started drafting this post LAST Friday as a "the friday five" post...and well, you see how well that went.

1. I don't even know who I am with these fun holiday nails!  I am not really a super girly girl as far as I don't obsess over makeup, hair products, having my nails done, etc.  But, I had some free time at lunch yesterday and decided to treat myself to a manicure- I don't think I've ever had the hot paraffin wax on my hands, and wow!  It felt amazing.  I went with OPI "I'm not really a waitress" and i just love it, so festive!

2.  I'm seriously almost done with my Christmas shopping.  WHAT?!  And it's not even December yet!  We aren't doing a very big Christmas for our kids this year, gifts wise.  We are going to take them to Magic Kingdom for ONE day in early January instead.  They'll still get some toys and stuff, but we just have WAY TOO MUCH and i'm over it.  We are creating memories instead.  It's about a 7…
