Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Columbia, SC got a fairly rare snow storm on Friday evening...we actually got around 6 inches, which is a lot for these parts! Sadly, because we were headed to Jacksonville, we didn't get to enjoy any of it. We weren't too mad though because we are leaving Thursday to go skiing in Sugar Mountain, NC. Taking a little last minute vacay with the fam because there has been quite a good bit of snow at Sugar this year. We had a very calm weekend, celebrating our niece's 4th birthday with family.
Last night, we watched Couples Retreat. I was pretty excited about it...and then bam, I kinda think it sucked. I LOVE LOVE Vince Vaughn usually, but this is definitely not one of his best. I just didn't really think it was all that funny. Oh well.
I did however recently watch My Sister's Keeper and thought it was fabulous. I definitely loved the book more (I always do) but the movie was perfect for what I was looking for. It was the perfect movie for a lazy Saturday afternoon spent on the couch when you don't mind shedding a few/billion tears. I thought Abigail Breslin was wonderful, it was a little weird watching Cameron Diaz in this role...but all in all I was very pleased.
Next up on the list: Valentine's Day, The Hurt Locker, and Dear John. I know Dear John hasn't gotten that great of reviews, and I realize it will never come close to the Notebook, but because I read the book I simply must see the movie too. Atleast Channing Tatum will provide me with a little eye candy to get me thru!
Any other great new movies I need to see??
