Florida bachelorette weekend recap

I need a weekend from my weekend.  That’s what kind of weekend it was.  Simply AMAZING, but WHOA… this mama can’t hang like that anymore!  We spent the weekend in Jacksonville celebrating my best friend’s bachelorette!  We left Thursday after work and got the party started!  We had 19 girls total, yes…19!  What was so fun for me was my fab five was in attendance (my high school besties)…all five of us are rarely together since one lives in Ohio and we always have the BEST time together.  Several of my besties from college were there too, so it was a perfect weekend girl’s getaway celebrating our bride!  We had amazing weather, complete opposite of what the weather forecast indicated, thank goodness.  Two long, beautiful beach days completes the weekend for me.  On Friday night, we had a limo (a surprise for the bride!) come pick us up to hit the town…we ate, danced and sang the night away! We stayed in Saturday night and ended up having just as much (if not more) fun and busted out the karaoke machine!  And yes, the karaoke machine was someone’s daughter’s…and it was frozen themed:-) I guess that’s how you roll on a bachelorette when the majority of people there are moms!  We were pooped on Sunday and so ready to get home to our babies…but the weekend was amazing and I think our bride really enjoyed herself ;-)

My babies were in good hands with daddy... Love all my updates and FaceTime!

Happy Tuesday!

Xoxo

What's in a name?

I tell ya, the name game is HARD. Really hard. I never thought that I'd be 27 years old and pregnant and not know what I wanted to name my child. I *think* we have come up with the one , but I'm not quite ready to put it out for the world to see...you know, don't want to many people rushing to get monogrammed bubbles. Ha! Jokes! Anyways...so I can look back and remember what all we went thru to come up with a name in 20 years I am going to lay it all out there. I'll start with saying I want a family name to be somewhere in my children's names. It doesn't have to be a first name, but some name in the child's name I want to be from a family member/family. We'll start with boys names, because they got taken off the table when we found out it was a GIRL..this will be short. Mikey's middle name is Thomas...his grandfather's name is Thomas. So...we always said Thomas would be in our son's name. I always thought it would be cool to do a Tho...

To my boys {almost two months late}

MY BOYS: A whole hand.   I can’t believe it.   The past five years have gone by at lightning speed!   You two silly, crazy, sweet, handsome boys celebrated FIVE like you do all other things- with genuine excitement and happiness in your hearts.   Y’all love life to the fullest and have the best imaginations- I could sit and listen to the two of you “play and talk” to each other ALL the live long day.   Y’all rarely fight, but when you do you make up within like 12 seconds, you boys are so different, but yet so the same.   You’ve both grown up in SO many ways and sometimes I have to blink to remind myself you are still my babies (because you are and always will be) but you both still have remnants of “babyhood” that I sure hope stays around a little longer.   It’s been a complete JOY to be your mama the past five years, as much as I want to keep you this AGE FOREVER, I know it’s not possible and am excited to watch you two grow and blossom in l...

25 weeks....yesterday!

Holy moly!!!! Baby Girl is doing some maaaayjah GROWING:) How far along? 25 weeks. Size of the baby? 13.5 inches and a pound and a half, grow baby girl, grow! Also known as an “average rutabaga”…um, okay. I’ll take Baby Center’s word for it. Maternity Clothes? Same as last week. My wardrobe is shrinking! I have bought several maternity tops, but most of them still look way too big. Still haven’t made the transition to maternity pants even though the bella band aggravates me sometimes. It’s the worst with my work pants, it constantly rolls down. I need to just suck it up and make the switch. Stretch Marks? None have appeared yet, still using the Palmer’s and Bio Oil a few times a week. Movement? Same. It’s so crazy how hard my belly gets at night, it is like she is all knotted up in one place. And the BELLY gets insanely BIG at night! Sleep? Eh…it’s been okay lately. I toss and turn a bunch. Food Cravings? Nothing crazy yet. I have been eating lots of peanu...
