The Glenn twins: ONE year

My dear, sweet, precious boys:

In a matter of seconds (or so it seems) you two have gone from my teeny tiny newborns to ONE year olds.  This has been, without a doubt, the fastest, craziest, busiest, but absolute BEST year of my life.  We really had no clue what we were in for or what to expect with twins…but you boys have far exceeded my expectations in the BEST way possible.  Everyone warned us, “you are going to have your hands full, the first six months are awful/hard, you’ll never leave the house”….the list goes on,  BUT I don’t feel like that was true with us at all.  You boys have been amazing from the start and made our transition from a family of three to a family of five go MUCH better than we could have ever imagined.

Now, don’t get me wrong…we all had our moments.  Everything wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies and I would never want anyone to think so….but it wasn’t nearly as hard or crazy as we thought it was going to be…and that was all because of Y’ALL.  Neither of you were really fussy babies, you both nursed well, slept well and adjusted to each new “milestone” well.  You both continue to amaze your dad and me on a daily basis, as much as we still can’t believe you two are ours we can’t imagine our life without y’all either.  You boys have made my heart grow, my emotions soar, and happiness radiate, and for that I will be forever thankful.

My G man, grambo, peanut:

You, my little one, are sweet as sugar.  You’ll probably hate me saying that one day…but good golly, I could just eat you right up.  You are always smiling with your big beautiful eyes and giggling at anyone or thing that makes you laugh.   You’ll clear a room to crawl in my lap (which makes my heart melt) and you seem to be very laid back.  You are much more the one to sit back “and take it all in” and just watch the world around you.  (Although you did turn in to QUITE the busy body at the beach this weekend and LOVED crawling STRAIGHT into the water).  I hope you always have that sweet disposition about you and I hope you ALWAYS want to crawl in your mama’s lap.  I love YOU more than you’ll ever know and am so thankful that God chose ME to be your mama.

My little putt putt:

You are my mini me, the only of my three that looks just like me…(everyone calls you mini Kenny!) and we already think that you, sweet boy, are going to take after your mama in the patience and stubbornness department as wellJ  You are definitely our “wrecking ball” child….in to everything and a curious cat.  You don’t sit still much and don’t like when you don’t get your way.  See?  Definitely your mother’s child ;-)  It’s funny to think how worried I was about you during your short NICU stay…you left that hospital and never looked back!  Your beautiful blue eyes remind me so much of your granddaddy’s as well as your love for food!  You make me laugh almost every day and I cannot wait to watch your little personality blossom.  I love YOU more than you’ll ever know and am so thankful that God chose ME to be your mama.

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
