{THREE}

Dear Colls,

Happy birthday baby girl.  Your daddy and I hope you have the MOST magical birthday ever, we have LOTS of fun planned just for YOU.  We both can’t believe you are already THREE (or “free” as you say)…but you are, and we couldn’t be prouder of the sweet little girl you have become.  You are silly, shy, funny, sweet, loving, stubborn, and loud all wrapped into one.  You couldn’t be more perfect.  We are so proud of the way you love your little brothers, always watching out for them and worrying about them if they are crying.  We are proud of how well you are doing in preschool and how much you love going to church.  We are proud of your kindness and sweet natured, positive personality.  You are the absolute light of our lives and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate YOU today.

You are growing like crazy, talking and singing all the time, dancing everywhere, and are a pure delight, except for that occasional temper tantrum you like to throw our way!  You absolutely LOVE to sing and I’m thinking you are going to LOVE the karaoke machine Lolly and Granddaddy are getting you for your birthday.  You just started dance recently and of course, I absolutely love it.  No matter how long you decide to dance, I’m just so excited you seem to like it for now.  You love wearing your ballet shoes and tap shoes around the house and always tell me you learned “tap tap tap” at dance today.  You are sleeping like a champ (most nights) in your big girl bed…sometimes daddy has to talk you to sleep, but you always fall asleep fairly fast and stay in your bed all night……….(except for those times you get out and want to come get in our bed…we take you back about 80% of the time, but sometimes you are just too sweet and mama lets you cuddle with us.  )  You’ve recently (finally) started letting me curl your hair, and it is the sweetest.  You are obsessed with all things princess/dress up and baby dolls, and you love to pretend play.  We are so proud of the little girl you have become!

Daddy and I about had a fit the other night when you said this:

The other night you needed to go potty after you had already gone to bed…daddy took you and after a while, you said “my pee pee must be sleepin’ in my tutti.”  We about died, so cute.

*how hilariously cute, I wasn’t sure how these answers would come out, but she was on point for pretty much all of them except the last one….  I guess we’ve never really talked about ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?”…so I don’t think she really knew what that meant.  The first time I asked her favorite restaurant she said “food lion” bahahahaa…I said Collins, we don’t eat at food lion, hehe.  And I think she’s had chocolate milk like three times ever, most notably with her Lolly;-)

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
