...and it never rained. Pretty party pics.

What a weekend. Damn mother nature had me STRESSED to the max for a very good part of the day on Saturday, oh and the fact that we were getting a new ROOF that was supposed to be finished Friday...but of course, workers were there till 3:30 Saturday, and we had a PARTY taking place in mere hours...Mikey still had to cut the grass...shingles had to be GONE from the yard...the rain had to STOP! Aaaahhh. Chaos.

Anyways, as such goes...of course, it never even freakin' rained Saturday night. NOT ONE BIT. Damn you meteorologists!! It must be nice having a job where you totally do NOT have to be right all the time...not even close. You can just scare people with thunderstorm warnings galore, but hey...who cares if it doesn't happen, right?!? I had all these grand plans of doing the drink and dessert tables on my back porch, tons of cute lanterns/string lights/tiki torches had been purchased and were ready to go...out back. Well, with a 60% chance of thunderstorms occurring that night (and it did storm early in the afternoon) no one wanted to risk people being caught in the rain outside, or my pretty decorations being ruined. So...I had to suck it up and move the dessert table inside and the bar table to my front porch, which thankfully, is covered.

Long story short (yes, I know this isn't the end of the world!)....we lived. The party was still absolutely wonderful, everything looked beautiful, the guests of honor had a great time, and we had the cops come. (More on that later, but you know that means the party was good, right?!?)

Now on to pretty party pictures....

Becca setting up the drink table, it still looked cute, just in a different location.

The dessert table now on my island.
Bad ass cameras make everything look so much better. Thanks to my friend Kayla, who just purchased her first, we have lots of amazing pictures from the night.
The hosts...also known as my best friends from college. Happy days. (PS...we were reminded that it has now been SIX freakin' years since we graduated college, AND NO...I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT IT. WE ARE NOT GETTING OLD, DAMN IT.)
The food table. Don't you love that vase? Yeah...well, now I have to buy one. I borrowed it from a friend of my mom's...walking out the door this morning I tripped (damn roofers and their materials!) and the vase break. Efff. But regardless, the flowers (green mums and white hydrangeas) looked beautiful. And my dripless candles were amazing.
The guests of honor...the future Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle!!
Hosts with bride to be.
My boo and his Chinese eyes...and me:)
Love this girl.
Our group! Such a fun night! And yes, we eventually moved the party to the back, so much more room! Those are my pretty tiki torches in the background!
But....yeah. Maybe we should have kept the party inside. We ended up going to our "shed/man cave" for an intense game of survivor flip cup (wait...all 28 year olds still do that, right?)...and the COPS came. Ha. Seriously? At least we know we had a good night, despite the (non) weather issue.

  1. Such great pictures!! It's about time someone in my family gets a great camera too, pictures like those are ones you can keep forever and an expensive camera's so worth it. Happy Monday, loved your dress! Virginia

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
