Slowly and stubbornly realizing...

I'm getting OLD.

So sad, but yet so true. I realize in the grand scheme of life I am still very young, however it sure doesn't feel like that after a night out! We usually go out at least one night during the week, whether it is to a sporting event, dinner and drinks, something! I love to get out and about, and we do it a lot! Last night, we went to the last home basketball game of the season (so sad for the seniors because the GAMECOCKS somehow couldn't beat Alabama even though we were ahead by 15 at one point) and then went to The Thirsty Fellow for a "drink or two" as it always is said, right after. Honestly, I was home asleep by 11:30....which is around my normal bedtime; but goodness am I tired today. Even though I didn't get "drunk" last night, we had several drinks throughout the evening (mainly because we are lucky enough to have some awesome friends who have some awesome friends who have passes to the McGuire room, i.e. you can drink in there during the game!) and needless to say I just kinda feel out of it today. It makes me really sad that my body can't handle it like I used to. Oh well, guess I will just have to be tired at work sometimes=)

On the agenda for tonight, some serious P90X and an early bed time! Mikey and I get to babysit this precious girl tomorrow night and I am SO SO excited about it.

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

Takeover Tuesday

Surprise Caro, guess who hacked into your blog! I know what you are saying to yourself...I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to mess with you on here. For those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, this obviously is not your sweet Caroline, this is her wonderful, sarcastic, fun loving, baby daddy (or is it babies’ daddy now?), also known as her husband. (Caro at her finest, throwing me a great 25th birthday celebration) Where do I begin…. I guess we can talk about how this marital bliss came to be before we talk about the author of this blog and how amazing she. Caroline has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember, we were actually first grade boyfriend and girlfriend if you can believe it. After first grade, there was the great divide, as both of us went to different schools the following year. Finally, after 10 agonizing, lonely years we were reunited at a house party our senior year in high school. I, naturally, had always kept an eye on her throughou
