It's still so surreal to me that the technology is already here to READ a BOOK without actually, you knowing...having the actual book. I know it's not new...but it took me a while to cave, I like books. The real things. I like to keep them for my bookcase. Kind of a like a little trophy to me...I love to read and love to go back and skim old books to refresh. However...once little one came along and I discovered (with the help of my new I-phone...another "I finally joined this generation purchase") how to READ on my PHONE thru either i-books or my kindle app, I haven't looked back. It is SO,SO much easier to read on my phone when nursing and when I was partaking in middle of the night feedings, THIS is what kept me sane. Now, I just read on my phone all the time...my phone is with me pretty much 24/7, so I have been FLYING thru books. Have to wait 10 minutes before court...it's cool, I'll read. Have to go to the bathroom...it's cool, I'll read. I think you get the point, I've become obsessed.
But, you know what the main PROBLEM for me is? IT IS TOO EASY. Just click BUY and I can start reading! I seem to bypass that little bitty (but not so little, monetarily) price tag attached. Sheesh! Those $12.99's add up.
Anyways...a few I've read lately.
I finished. As I mentioned earlier...I had to fight to finish. I don't think I've ever read a book where the author repeats the SAME DAMN WORD over and over like this one. I'm definitely convinced this got so much attention/popularity for it's shock value only. Yeah...I liked Ana and Christian, but all in all...nothing to write home about. *I can TOTALLY see Angelina as Elena, rumors are that she threw her name in the hat...but it better NOT be for Ana...ol' Angie is exactly that, way too OLD to play Ana.
Typical beach read. It was a little funny, a little sad, a quick, mindless, easy summer read. Her first books are my favorites and I think way better in terms of actual writing...but I still like her style for an easy summer read.
Same. I didn't really like Heart of the Matter that much...but this one was better...no where as good as Something Borrowed and Something Blue, but I did want to keep reading to know what happened and that to me signals a good read.
Until next time, xoxo.

One of my FAVORITE books of all time was The Kite Runner...I think I am finally going to read his other book, A Thousand Splendid Suns. It's time to get a little deeper after all these mindless reads. I may have to go purchase this book though...it seems like one I may want a hard copy of.
Until next time, xoxo.
