18 weeks!

You can't really tell much from this picture, the shirt hides everything. But, I had to go to court today, so I had to wear something I could put a suit jacket on with. Blah. Boring outfits. How far along? 18 weeks Size of the baby? A sweet potato/large mango. Maternity Clothes? Not yet. Still wearing regular pants/skirts, haven’t busted out the bella band quite yet…but I do unbutton my pants sometimes when sitting at my desk all day, definitely about to have to need bella band. No worries, my office is private and no one can tell:) Stretch Marks? Not yet. But, my mom had them and I hear they are hereditary, but she said hers went away fairly quickly. I’ve been using Palmer’s and Bi Oil several times a week. Movement? Not yet. Hopefully soon. Sleep? Still sleeping good. Food Cravings? Nothing really yet. I crave Lucky Charms, but I always randomly crave those. I just love Lucky Charms and have always gone in spells where I will eat it for a week the...

Birthday wish list.

So...I'm going to be the BIG 2-8 on Friday. Depressing. I do not like getting older. But, anyways...such is life. Technically I've already received my "biggest" birthday gifts....sigh. Haha, kidding...I am VERY thankful for these gifts. Mikey got me/us the I-pad 2, woohoo!!! Our old computer had just about had it, it was time. We love it, although I swear he is on the thing WAY more than me. Too many games/apps that he loves. My parents are getting me my new bedskirt and euro pillows for our bedroom...how exciting!! No, really...I am actually VERY excited about this. Mom and I went and picked the fabric the other day...it's a gorgeous turquoise duralee fabric, I think it's going to look beautiful. She bought all the fabric and is having those things made for me...can't wait to see the finished product:) So...from whoever else is interested in buying (hint hint, hehe) these are some other things I have been wanting: I think I decided on these ...

What a baby changes.

One of my best friends, a fellow preggo (yayayayyay jenn!!) sent me this neat little letter that talks about what changes when you have a baby. I loved it and want to remember it always: 1. You finally stop to smell the roses, because your baby is in your arms. 2. Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid. 3. The sacrifices you thought you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices. 4. You respect your body...finally. 5. You respect your parents and love them in a new way. 6. You find that your baby's pain feels much worse than your own. 7. You believe once again in the things you believe in as a child. 8. Your heart breaks much more easily. 9. You think of someone else 234,836,123,456 times a day. 10. Every day is a surprise. 11. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. 12. You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself. 13. You become a morning person. 14. Your love becomes limitless, a superhuman power. 15. You finally realize th...

Hairbows, dolls, and tea parties.

WE ARE HAVING A BABY GIRL!!!!! We are SOOOO SOOO excited, (admittedly, maybe me a tad more so than daddy!). I pinky promise I would have been super excited EITHER way, especially for the first child...and Mikey is excited...I think he is just a little scared. Momma's going to be spending WAY too much money on this little girl;) Our reveal party was perfect. I am so glad we decided to do that, everyone had a lot of fun. I had gotten cute pink and blue tablecloths and had the outside all set up with tables and white chairs, lanterns, and hanging lights...and then BAM. The sky fell. Literally, it DUMPED rain for over an hour. A tree fell on the house across the street, so BAD storm. Poor Mikey had to grill under an umbrella...we waited it out a bit, but it wasn't going anywhere and we had to grill our burgers at some point. Our families arrived around 5 and we just enjoyed each other's company for a bit. Meanwhile, the cake was just SITTING. AAAhhhhh!!! We cut t...

It's FALL, y'all.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm not huge on fall like a lot of people....only because in my mind, it just reminds me that winter is next. HATE winter. I don't do pumpkin spice anything, I much prefer summer dresses to leggings and sweaters and Halloween is my least favorite holiday. BUT, with that being said...one reason I do love fall is because it means FOOTBALL. More importantly, GAMECOCK football. Summer is definitely my FAVORITE season without a doubt, but I do enjoy a break from the 100 degree days. I do enjoy decorating my house for fall, buying fun colored mums and pumpkins for the porch, and a football game that isn't 100 degrees. (Our first few games are always WAY hot, even though we randomly had a cold spell last weekend and at our first home game people had on jackets. Crazy, that NEVER happens. Normally, we are sweating our tails off.) To get me in the fall spirit, here are some of my favorite "fall" like pictures: all pictures from google images...

17 weeks!

Not much has changed...the bump is getting more visible:) I either don't want it there at all, or I am ready for it to look like a "pregnant" bump and not just like I've put on a few lbs. How far along? 17 weeks. Size of the baby? A turnip Maternity Clothes? Not yet. Stretch Marks? Not yet. But, my mom had them and I hear they are hereditary, but she said hers went away fairly quickly. I’ve been using Palmer’s and Bi Oil several times a week. Movement? Not yet. Should be within the next few weeks! Sleep? Still sleeping good. Food Cravings? Nothing really yet. I crave Lucky Charms, but I always randomly crave those. I just love Lucky Charms and have always gone in spells where I will eat it for a week then not buy it again for a while. What I Miss: Drinking. Ha. Sorry if I sound like an alcoholic, but it’s HARD to be around people enjoying cocktails and you not being able to. Football season is going to be SO hard, and two of my bes...

Celebrate!

I feel like I haven't been able to keep up with all the fun events going on lately because WE HAVE NO INTERNET at our house right now. Soooo annoying. We switched providers and it is just taking a few weeks to get everything straight. It is supposed to be getting installed today though, thank goodness! I have lots of pictures to upload! We celebrated my best friend Becca's engagement party this past weekend. It was an unseasonably COLD night but everything was absolutely gorgeous and they had awesome heaters outside for us. So...Becca's getting married March 17. And I'm due March 1. AAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Thank goodness we can wear whatever black dress we want as bridesmaids, because I'm sure mine will still be HUGE:( I have no idea how this is going to work or what exactly will go down, but I just want to BE there. Whether I have to sit down the whole night, or leave every hour to feed a NEWBORN, my best friends only get married ONCE and I wouldn't miss t...
