Our baby girl turned 10 months old on December 17...yes, we are a little late to celebrate around here. This post is going to be a quick catch up for time purposes. Just read my previous month's post for my feelings about the love of our life;-)

Favorite thing to do: Pull up on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.  The coffee table, the couch, my leg, the dishwasher, refrigerator...you name it and she's pulled up on it.  I swear we don't need ANY toys, all she likes to do is crawl and pull up and down.  No real interest in walking yet...she's stood on her own several times for 15-20 seconds...and will walk some with her walker/push toys things (sorry don't know the correct name at the moment) but she hasn't shown a strong desire to really walk yet...which is fine by me!  She's fast enough crawling for now. She's also learned how to climb stairs, watch out!!  Mikey was behind her the whole way, but last week she climbed half the staircase at my parents house.  Baby gates are a MUST! In all seriousness, she does love some toy balls...anything that rattles....and her hippo ball game.

Newest skills: she's starting to babble more and more and I think we've heard mama, and baba the most.

Separation anxiety:  LOVE THIS LITTLE ONE TO PIECES, but goodness gracious...if Mikey or I are around and we leave the room, she does NOT like it.  Especially if we are somewhere unfamiliar.  At home, she will generally just crawl towards the kitchen or our bedroom to find us, but in the mountains this past weekend it was tough!  She did not like for her mama or daddy to leave the room.  Makes my heart sad.  I know she's fine when we DO leave her, but she definitely cries hard for 5-10 minutes.

Eating: she's still downing four bottles per day...but most of them are only 4-5 ounces now as she is eating LOTS of big people food.  There's not much this little one turns down.

Naps: twice a day for about 1.5 -2 hours each

Bed: she goes down anywhere between 8 and 8:30 (generally) and sleeps until around 8 or 8:30 on the weekends and we wake her up around 7:30 on week days.

Clothes: This was still a size 6 month onesie, oops.  Mostly because I forgot to buy a new one...it was a little snug.  All her jammies are 6 months Carters...her Ralph Lauren jams are 9 months.  Most clothing is 9 months with some stuff being 6-9 mo and a few overall type outfits the 9 months is getting too small.

Shoes: still a size 1.  We have a couple of size 2's that we can stuff with tissue paper, but they don't stay on very well.

Diapers: size 3

Teeth: we have teeth now!!!!!!! Woo hoo, no baby dentures!  She started getting her first tooth (teeth, two came in at the same time) on December 5 (almost 10 months) but they still aren't all the way in there.  She's also showing some coming in on the top.  yay!

CHEESE!
Chunky monkey.
Squeee!
Okay, mama...I'm done now.
xoxo baby girl. we love you!

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

These are the days.

Goodness gracious, I LOVE summer.  I talk it to death every year, but it is especially important to me during this season of life where the school year brings homework/schedules/strict bed times/extra curricular craziness- I appreciate the LAZY days of summer EVEN MORE. I've tried to be intentional about taking a half day here and there to soak up TIME with my babies.  Because Lord knows, they aren't babies for long.  (Yes, I'm referring to my 7 and 5 year olds as babies- #cantstopwontstop ) When we returned from our anniversary trip, we got back early on a Tuesday and used the rest of the day to spend quality family time together.  We took the kids to a local water park, this was all of our first time visiting- and we had a ball!   That same week, my girl and I dressed up and attended her very first company banquet for dance, too much fun!  Lake days with friends are sooooo good for me- we've so enjoyed many of them this summer
