A princess party for our princess

  Y'all.  SO many pictures, you've been warned.  I'd rather just overkill it in one post then break it up though.  My sweet girl had the BEST birthday, she was SO excited all day and was fascinated by all the decorations.  Each time I would put something new up, her little eyes lit up...especially when we brought the balloons in.  I scaled it down majorly this year, we had a smaller party with only 8 little girls.  It was perfect though, we did hair, make up, nails and dress up!  All the little girls were in heaven...  we had a dance party...and then they all flipped when ELSA walked in.  Of course, Colls was the only one there who was super shy and scared of Elsa at first, but she eventually warmed up:)  I think all of the little girls enjoyed themselves and Colls hasn't stopped talking about it since, soooo I'd say it was a success!   Can you EVEN believe this cake?  It is THE most beautiful cake I have ever seen, my sister in law is so ridiculously talente

Weekend rewind

We had another busy weekend.  We started out by going to a friends house for dinner Friday night, I took no pics but we sure enjoyed finally catching up with the Hoods and hanging out with the Hiltons:-).  Saturday day was pretty lazy, I went to the gym and ran a few errands for the birthday party and Mikey stayed home with the kiddos in the morning... And then he took collins to a birthday party that afternoon.  Here she is chasing her boyfriend... Kidding, but this is some young love here.  Saturday night we enjoyed another group dinner with friends, this time right across the street at the Wilson's:-). The kids had a blast playing together.  And collins and Mary Brooks got asked to be flower girls in "miss Maggie's" wedding!! They were so, so excited!! As were there mamas.  Sunday was spent being lazy and preparing for our princess party for Collins.     Why do weekends have to end?

Birthday celebration part 1

Tuesday, February 17 was Collins' actual birthday. We celebrated HER before school and that night!!  She woke up to birthday pancakes:-) And a princess balloon And a TRAMPOLINE!!! That was her present from us and she LOVES it!  I figured we could get a bigger gift that all the kids can use instead of another small toy. This isn't one of the huge trampolines but it's plenty big... Three kids have ample room! After work, we took Colls to Build a bear for the first time... She chose a my little pony and named her pineapple:-) We then went out to eat for pizza, per the birthday girls choosing. She had a wonderful birthday!! Can't believe my first baby is THREE!

{THREE}

Dear Colls,   Happy birthday baby girl.  Your daddy and I hope you have the MOST magical birthday ever, we have LOTS of fun planned just for YOU.  We both can’t believe you are already THREE (or “free” as you say)…but you are, and we couldn’t be prouder of the sweet little girl you have become.  You are silly, shy, funny, sweet, loving, stubborn, and loud all wrapped into one.  You couldn’t be more perfect.  We are so proud of the way you love your little brothers, always watching out for them and worrying about them if they are crying.  We are proud of how well you are doing in preschool and how much you love going to church.  We are proud of your kindness and sweet natured, positive personality.  You are the absolute light of our lives and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate YOU today.     You are growing like crazy, talking and singing all the time, dancing everywhere, and are a pure delight, except for that occasional temper tantrum you like to throw our way!  You absolutely LOVE t

Weekend rewind

Whew! This week has been crazy. My baby girl turned 3 and we've been celebrating!! (More posts on that later) for now, just a quick recap of our weekend.  We started out by attending a first birthday party Friday night for my best friend's little girl, Piper. It was precious!! I wish I had pictures.   Saturday was JAM packed. We headed to the other side of town for a gender reveal brunch... And found out our group is adding another GIRL to the mix. So excited!! The mama to be and the little girls. We had some time to kill before heading to a birthday party so we spent some time at the playground just being silly.  It was perfect timing for the boys to nap while we played with collins.  And then it was off to a birthday party! Mikey and I had plans for a fun date night with our friends for Valentine's Day. We had such a good time, but goodness were we exhausred on Sunday! Our Sunday involved a lot of this:  It was COLD, so we had a fire and stayed in our Jammies for the day.
