It's finally Friday!

Yes! Very much looking forward to a LONG weekend...and a weekend where we are not going out of town, have NO wedding showers, weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, NOTHING on the agenda but having fun and relaxing. We are planning on heading out to my parents house tonight and spending the weekend on the lake. Not much sounds better to me right now. Mikey will hit the links EARLY Saturday morning with the boys and I will sleep in till it's time to get my TAN on. We plan on boating with friends all weekend and my parents are going to have a little cook out tomorrow afternoon. In some of the most sad news ever....my parents are putting their house on the market. I can't even think about it, tear. This has been my home for 17 years...that's SEVENTEEN wonderful summers spent living on Lake Murray (yeah...technically I haven't lived at home since um...2001 (we won't go there) but we spend so many weekends during the summer there that I still consider it home.

Hilton Head Heritage 2011

I just realized I hadn't recapped the MOST fun weekend of 2011 (thus far anyways). We went to the Heritage golf tournament in Hilton Head back in April...we had two condos right on the golf course and there were 22 of us, talking about GOOD times! The Heritage is a PARTAY...it is always the week or two after the Masters, so a lot of players go there to relax and enjoy. We laid out in the sun, wathced a lot of golf, partied on a yacht, people watched in Harbor Town, and lots of good deck drinking convos. Everyone does whatever they want all weekend, there are no rules, no agendas, and no worries! BEST news of all from the weekend, we had an ENGAGEMENT!! My bestest Becca got engaged right on the course, it was soooo fun. (Make that THREE of my BEST friends who have now gotten engaged within 2 months of each other, gonna be a busy year!) What a wonderful way to get engaged, surrounded by her family and friends....and of course, we got to celebrate all weekend. This is all the girls Th

Over it.

Lancome makeup that is. I am a creature of habit. At most restaurants, I've only tried 1 or 2 of the menu items, because I get the SAME things over and over. Why mess with a good thing right? Well, I am also a creature of habit when it comes to my makeup. I've probably been wearing Lancome makeup for 8 or 9 years now. I wear makeup everyday, but I am not one of these that is obsessed with makeup...I don't play around with new things, I don't buy new shadows, glosses, etc. all the time. Call me boring, I guess. I also "do" my makeup the same way all the time. I need to get out of my comfort zone desperately. Well, it's time...I am sick of Lancome. Don't get me wrong, it's very good makeup...but for some reason it's just not working for me anymore. I feel like it melts off much more easily than it used to...or my skin has just changed over the years...whatever the reason I am ready for something NEW. But, what?!? I want coverage, bu

Glenn Family Vacay

Oh, about...a month ago (bad blogger!) we headed to our condo in Hilton Head with Mikey's siblings and families. Mikey's sister lives in Jacksonville so we don't get to see them nearly as much as we would like, but fortunately Hilton Head is half way between Columbia and J-ville so we were able to meet that weekend and it was a quick trip for everyone! (5 hours is a LONG way to drive for a weekend!) Brent and Vic had just added to their family, and we were dying to meet our newest niece (now our 3rd!) Emerson. We had 6 adults and three kids crammed into our 2 bedroom condo, but it was SO much fun to just hang out and catch up with each other. We were scared the weather was going to be bad, but Saturday ended up being beautiful and we were able to sit out by the pool all day long. (the beach was still too windy.) We enjoyed each other's company, the beautiful weather, and some wonderful seafood in Harbor Town. Hopefully we will be able to do it again soon! All of

I don't get it.

I don't get why... Mikey can bounce RIGHT up first thing in the morning when his alarm goes off and is in the best mood ever. Like, automatically. Goes straight to the shower, within 1 minute of waking up. I am a NIGHTMARE in the morning. Grouchy doesn't even begin to explain it. I HATE getting out of bed. I need at least 3o minutes after my alarm goes off of dozing on and off before I finally pull myself out of bed. RAWR. Some things are SO easy for some people, while others have to struggle so much. Such is life I guess...but it sure is hard to swallow sometimes. People cheat. Not that I'm surprised about this whole Arnold thing...and I totally realize cheating goes on ALL the time, unfortunately, and not just in the "politician/celeb world." But, WHY? ugh. I also don't get WHY so many books are based on infidelity. I feel like every book I read lately is about one spouse cheating or a broken marriage, etc. I want to read about HAPPY things. P

...and it never rained. Pretty party pics.

What a weekend. Damn mother nature had me STRESSED to the max for a very good part of the day on Saturday, oh and the fact that we were getting a new ROOF that was supposed to be finished Friday...but of course, workers were there till 3:30 Saturday, and we had a PARTY taking place in mere hours...Mikey still had to cut the grass...shingles had to be GONE from the yard...the rain had to STOP! Aaaahhh. Chaos. Anyways, as such goes...of course, it never even freakin' rained Saturday night. NOT ONE BIT. Damn you meteorologists!! It must be nice having a job where you totally do NOT have to be right all the time...not even close. You can just scare people with thunderstorm warnings galore, but hey...who cares if it doesn't happen, right?!? I had all these grand plans of doing the drink and dessert tables on my back porch, tons of cute lanterns/string lights/tiki torches had been purchased and were ready to go...out back. Well, with a 60% chance of thunderstorms occurring t

Monday after the Masters. Photo Overload, w. a picture of Josh Kelley:)

We attended the 2011 Monday after the Masters Golf Tournament this year with two of our best friends, and boy was it a blast! My friend Becca sits on the board for this golf tournament, so were were "VIP's" all weekend, pretty cool. There were lots of perks that came with this, meeting celebrities, free drinks, after parties...cool deal. Hootie and The Blowfish (from where...that's right, COLUMBIA, SC!!) started this event 17 years ago and it has been going strong ever since. Lots of money is raised for the Hootie foundation, nothing better than good times for good causes. I'll let the pictures explain the rest. Night One dinner and drinks. Silent Auction/karaoke night at the House of Blues. When I say karaoke, I mean wow...these people were good! Masters viewing party at the House of Blues. Darius Rucker concert night at the House of Blues. He is simply amazing. Love him. We attempted the beach bar...but it was like 50 degrees and the wind was blowing re

OHMYGOD.

Went to see USHER last Sunday night with some girl friends...and let me tell you IT WAS FREAKIN' AMAZING. Serious badass. Usher has always been one of my faves...he is so sexy. For real. But, most of all...I left the concert dreaming of being one of his back up dancers. Y'all, I'm talking these girls had it GOIN ON. Like woah. They were seriously some of the best dancers I have ever seen. Their bodies were rockin', love hard core dancers bodies...not too skinny, cut with good muscle tone. I mean, I would totally love to switch jobs with these girls for a few weeks. The stamina that they had to have had to keep up and rock out for so long, I can only imagine. Usher, of course, took his shirt off several times...but I wasn't complaining. He's got the most unbelievable abs I've seen in a while (besides my hubs of course, hehehe).
