Cheers to a crazy, amazing year!

2014.   WOAH.  In many ways it was DEFINITELY one for the record books.  I was pregnant for exactly half of the year.  Our family grew by TWO.  TWO precious little boys who have stolen my heart in every way possible.  My toddler is growing up before my eyes and brought me more joy than ever in 2014.  Oh, and we sold our house.  Lived with my parents for 3 months.  Renovated a new house when I was 34 weeks pregnant (with said twins)…and moved in to new house when the boys were two weeks old.  Umm…. So yeah…probably one of our crazier/stressful years we’ve had….but WORTH EVERY SINGLE moment.  We are so incredibly happy…no, not all is perfect…but we feel so lucky and blessed to be living this wonderful life.  God is good, my friends.  We are alive, healthy and doing our thing.  What else is there?    Last picture in June as a family of three:     And first pictures as a family of five:   Saying goodbye to our second house as a family:   And hello to our third house as a family: (and hopef

Weekend wrap up (and more)

Whew!!!! Things have been BUSY lately, as I'm sure it has been for everyone else around too.  I made a promise that the Friday after Christmas we would do NOTHING.... Jammies, play time, cuddle time and couch time ALL day... But until then....  Last week we had my first office Christmas party (yes we have two... another one just for the attorneys tonight)  on Wednesay night and we haven't slowed down since. Friday was Collins preschool Christmas party and we took then whole fam:-). Weezie was off so we had the boys with us. So thankful that Mikey works for a bank and has so much time off! With bestie and future neighbor Mary Brooks! I also got blonder Friday morning before the party, and man... That makes ya feel good. If I won the lottery I would have someone blow out my hair EVERY DAMN DAY.  Friday night was our ELEVENTH annual ZTA girls Christmas party. We had big pledge classes but these (minus 5-6) are the girls that I hung out with... And I love every single one of them.

A little update on my girl.

My girl, my world, my everything.    Collins will be THREE in two very short months.  I’m sure I’ll have another long, sappy post then… but a lot happens in two months in the life of a toddler so I wanted to do a little documenting on her now . This child.  How I love her.  Collins is sweet and sassy all rolled into one.  She’s still very shy when we first get to a group gathering or party/etc.  Give her about 30 minutes though and she’s good to do, running around and playing like normal.  Mikey and I often laugh about how shy she is when we go to things because at home?  WOW.  The girl never stops talking, singing and being silly.  She’s a MESS and she knows it.  She LOVES to play with baby dolls, grocery store and play pretend.  She can pretend play for hours and have a ball.  Her favorite is to go to the grocery store with her dolls and “shop” with real food items and “monies.”  She’s such a good little mommy to her dolls, and it’s so cute.  She LOVES to look at pictures of herself

Weekend wrap up

We had a fairly low key weekend around the Glenn household. We started out Friday night by meeting my grandparents and parents for dinner. Everyone (except Mikey and the boys) was going to see my niece in a dance performance afterwards.  Collins LOVED watching Belle dance... T was a spin off of the Nutcracker called Two Clara's, very cute.  Saturday morning we headed out as a family for breakfast and shopping. You can tell the boys thoroughly enjoyed their time at the mall ;-) We went over to a friends around 5 on Saturday, just a little hang out / birthday celebration. Colls had a blast with James and Avery! This cuteness happened Sunday before church and it makesy heart explode. I love the way Thomas looks a little unsure but is holding onto Collins' leg:-)   We attempted to make a gingerbread house after church and well, yeah.... That didn't go so well!! Ha! Sunday night we headed to one of our favorite Christmas traditions. The lights at Saluda shoals. Santa and the sli

The Glenn twins: month 5

5 months.    I continue to be amazed at how well my little nuggets are doing.  This is not to say they are perfect babies and we don’t have CRAZY nights sometimes…but I will say that going from ONE to THREE hasn’t been nearly as hard as I thought it would.  Sure, things are nuts around our house some nights and it sure takes a lot longer to go do anything/get ready in the morning/etc.  BUT, these boys are pretty darn good.  They both have nights where they need to be held or just fuss for about 30 minutes for no reason…but I can deal with that.  When we are out and about at night, they are usually perfect!  Crazy how that works.  They are generally pretty content during the day.  I am so proud of themJ   Our current routine:   Wake: anywhere  between 6:30 and 7:30 .  Most mornings I nurse them right at 7, but sometimes (especially on weekends) it’s not till  7:30 .  Graham is generally awake by 6:30 , but I will just get him up when he wakes and put him back down in the rock and play w

Weekend wrap up

We had a semi low key weekend for us.  We started out by hitting up the Junior a league holiday market for the PJ's with Santa event. We've gone ever since Colls was a baby and it's always fun. They have movies, popcorn, crafts, cookie decorating, stories by Mrs Claus and of course, Santa!  Colls had a blast last what with all of the activities (with the exception of Santa!) Same rang true this year. But, it's a fun little family event.  ..... And a NO go again. ;-)  *let it be noted that I wasn't trying to force her to see Santa, I told her if she didn't want to that was fine, we would just let G and T get their pic with Santa. Well then she cried Bc she wanted to be in the pic .... And then when I tried to get her in the pic this is what she did!!   Lordy!! And then she pouted Bc she didn't get a pic with Santa!!! So this was our compromise! Silly girl!! Saturday morning Colls went to a princess bday party and was in heaven!! Elsa and Anna were even there;

Friendsgiving 2014

I've talked numerous times about how much I love this night. We celebrated our sixth annual friendsgiving this past Sunday and as usual it didn't disappoint.  We ended up having to bring the kiddos which made everything a bit more hectic for us, but it was still a great night with "our village" and we got to celebrate at my friends GORG new house. Like, total dream home material.  I may not be super close with every girl in this pic but I cam count on all of them for anything, that's for sure. Of course we all have people we are closer with within this big group of girls, but all of these ladies are an important part of my life and without a doubt, a part of our village. So very thankful for all of these peeps.  Thanksgiving continues to be one of my favorite holidays. So thankful for my many blessings in this life.  Xoxo

A thankful heart

My thanksgiving holiday mission was a success!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our extra long holiday weekend; we got in lots of family time, relaxation time, cuddle time with my babies, decorated the house, shopped a tad and just plain had a great Thanksgiving.  We started out Wednesday night by hosting Mikey's family, everyone stayed till 11... I would say it was a success!  Thursday morning my best friend brought her baby over for a couple hours since she lives in LA and we don't ever get to see each other. It was perfect. We has the macys thanksgiving day parade on and Colls was in heaven with THREE babies around.  We headed over to my parents house around 1 on Thursday. We had a laid back day of stuffing our faces and enjoying quality time with the fam. I love watching Collins and her cousins play together. We played outside after lunch, napped, and took our Christmas card picture. We headed home around 7 and after the kids went to bed I started putting up Christmas decorations! M
