A day in the life

I LOVE reading other “day in the life” posts.  It seems so nosy, but I love hearing about how others live their day to day lives and how different we all are.   ** With our kids ages, activities, and Mikey’s job that requires some after work networking/event attending …. our  days really differ around here.  If he’s got something after work, I’m the one that picks up all three kids (who are at different places three days a week) after work and gets everyone home and starts playing/chores/cooking (depending on how long Mikey will be).  But, otherwise- normally we divide and conquer if they kids are at different places.  This past year, Collins had dance two days week and gymnastics one day a week….so two days a week pick up is from dance at 5:45 or 6 and the other she is at her besties houses who she goes to gymnastics with.  The boys did soccer shots in the fall and spring the year, so for 10-12 Thursdays, we would go to soccer from 5:40-6:20 on Thursdays.  So, it’s  really just  Thurs

Memorial Day weekend (and a dance recital)

Welp- we all know it’s May and it’s CRAZY. So here goes with a bunch of catch up- Collins has her end of the year dance banquet last Tuesday- and it was so cute and fun. My girl won the sportsmanship award for her group and I could not have been prouder. She’s had such a wonderful year in dance.  G and T had their first dentist appointment- and did awesome!! Mikey took them and sent me pics and I about died- just precious 💙 G was a bit more nervous than T and wanted to cling to Mikey a little more, but he did awesome too.  The boys had their end of the year preschool celebration on Friday- Thomas was a bit more animated and sang most songs (compared to the Christmas show), but G still barely moved and “sang quietly” as he likes to say ;-). These boys had a wonderful year in 3 year old preschool- so thankful that they love their teachers and friends! Friday night was our annual girls night going to watch “the big girls” dance in the concert. Can’t believe my girl will be up on that st

Our summer bday boys got a special bday celebration at preschool last week since they won’t be there for their actual bday- the cutest 💙💙 Our big girl had her end of the year ELA extravaganza where they showed off how much they’ve learned this year- so proud of this girl💕 We went to a friends for dinner Friday night- the kids chillin’ outside watching a movie- they sure live the life!! The kids and I ran some errands Saturday morning and went to our dance studios open house event for a bit. We spent Saturday afternoon swimming off the dock before it was time for the kids to head to the grandparents for the night. We enjoyed a sunset cruise with friends and cooked out at home - very rare we do this without 18 kids running around- so it was a fun little evening.  We hosted a little dance party Sunday afternoon- the sweetest girls - they had a blast!  And I was asleep by 10- pooped from another awesome weekend. Here’s to a three day weekend coming up!!

Weekend rewind

We had the most gorgeous weekend here last weekend, so naturally, it’s been raining all week and looks like rain for this coming weekend. Ugh. I get so stabby when it rains on my spring and summer weekends!  We enjoyed a little family cruise Friday night and this was the sunset- it never gets old.  Saturday was full of yard work and boat rides, along with some tubing that made me realize how NOT young I am anymore. We hosted a wedding shower for a very dear friend Saturday night- it was perfect and fun and the couple was happy as can be- can’t ask for much more! We spent church and lunch with my MIL on Sunday and then hosted by family in the afternoon for some more fun lake time and a cook out. It was a perfect Mother’s Day for me- being in my happy place with my people. 💜
