Life lately: (a photo dump)

Sometimes... Well, a lot of times all I have time for is a photo dump. But, that's okay with me because this is my little way of chronicling the adventures and happenings of my little fam.  Two weekends ago: we spent Saturday doing yard work and getting the boat ready for summer.  Our friends came over that evening and we enjoyed a little sunset cruise before cooking out. The weather was a wash out all morning on that Sunday, but by afternoon we were ready to get out of the house and chanced the zoo. Turns out going to the zoo with the threat of bad weather is the perfect time to go, we practically had the place to ourselves and the rain stayed away. Mikey had a work event one night last week so mom and i went on a long walk and then took the kiddos to "chic a lay".... Looks like the boys are going to love ice cream just as much as big sister (and momma and lolly!). ;-) Trampoline selfies waiting on daddy to get home from work.  This past weekend we headed to Beaufort. We

The Friday five.

1.  Colls got her first dance recital costume Wednesday and my heart burst into a million pieces!! She is taking at the same studio I danced at for almost 10 years and I love it. Who knows how long she will like dance, but this is definitely one of those "dream come true" moments for me! 2.  Mikey and I took C on a special "date" night last night, we went to see Disney on ice, and she LOVED it. It was so amazing to watch the awe thru her eyes.  3. Short or long? (Or a little long I guess) I go back and forth on my hair a good bit, I can't decide whether I like it above the shoulders or longer. I can't keep it super long bc it's just too thin for that, it doesn't look good really long.    4. Finally started a new book and I'm obsessed.  5. Last, I am SO excited for the next few months, summer is my jam and our calendar is already filling up with beach trips and lake days! Cannot wait!

All about ME

I totally stole this from Jessie's blog, (www.cupcakesandrunningshoes.blogspot.com). (I can't figure out how to add the link from my phone!) but these are fun to do every now and then and I certainly will look back and giggle at this one day, right?! Age:  31 B: bed size:  KING, and we love every square inch of it!  I am not a “cuddler” when I sleep…I like to have my own space:-) C: chore you hate:  dishes!  I don’t mind most cleaning/chores, but Mikey normally handles the dishes.  D: dogs: one, sweet pup Milly…who doesn’t get near the attention she deserves with three kiddos to tend to.  I’m NOT a huge dog person, but Milly won my heart over. E:  Essential to start your day:  I SO wish this was “working out”…but it’s not.  It’s a diet coke. I’ve tried to give it up so many times and I know I can…but I don’t like coffee…and water for breakfast just doesn’t get it.  F:  favorite color:  aqua, without a doubt.   G: Gold or silver: hmm….both?  Depends.  I definitely wear more gold

Bahama mamas (and daddies)

Just now getting around to re-capping our AMAZING trip to the Bahamas.  We had the opportunity to stay on my best friend's dad's yacht, so that was pretty incredible. Not something most of us get to do every day.  It was heaven.  We basically island hopped and went to the coolest little "local" bars the whole time. The abacos are much more primitive than the other parts of the bahamas I have visited, lots of natural land and not a lot of resorts (from what we saw). We ate a ton, drank a ton and had a ton of fun:-)  definitely a trip for the record books!  We met one semi celeb, Brett Eldridge, a country singer... Danced our booties off and laughed till our faces hurt. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Weekend rewind

Howdy, friends. Hope everyone is surviving Monday!  We had a good, fun, and productive weekend:-) We started out Friday night by hosting some friends (and several princesses) for dinner. Looks like G and T are in for it here shortly;-). We had lots of chaotic fun, and the kids were pretty well behaved, if you don't count when they found the Easter candy stash, oops! We got some yard work done Saturday, which was good, and much needed.  Then it was time to take the kiddos to the grandparents Bc we helped host a baby shower!  Lots of fun and we are SO excited for the parents to be!! Sunday was filled with laziness, the Masters, and Collins' first movie theatre experience! She was in AWE, it was so precious. She was just so amazed with the whole deal and her eyes stayed big throughout. We loved the movie, she started getting a little antsy with about 20 minutes left, but I think that's pretty good for a 3 year old.  I napped when the kids napped Sunday afternoon, talk about he

Our Easter weekend

We headed down to Beaufort for Easter weekend and it couldn't have been better. It seemed kinda crazy, considering we got home from the Bahamas at 11 Monday night, to pack up again and head out of town. But, here's my philosophy. First, I like to take every opportunity I can get to go to Beaufort, especially when the weather is beautiful. Second, when I'm home I feel the need to do something productive. We have lots that needs doing around the house. But, we wanted a weekend of relaxation and spending good quality time with our babies. It is so much easier for me to relax down in Beaufort than at home. So, off to Beaufort we went for a laid back Easter weekend.  Friday night was spent hanging out and playing with the kids. My parents took Collins earlier that day so she had been playing and being spoiled all day;-).  We all slept in and spent Saturday morning being lazy. Then we all packed up and headed to our favorite store in Beaufort for a few things. (Think lowes + a li
