the Friday five

1.       Some of my best girls and I got together last night and took all of our best (little) girls to Disney on Ice, it was SO fun.  We got together beforehand at a house and the girls played and ate while the mamas talked and ate;)  The show is always SO good!  I also love spending some special girl time with my number one girl.  She’s the BEST big sister in the world and always plays so well with her little brothers, but I love when she gets to do something that’s just “for her.”         2.       OUR NEW APPLIANCES ARE  COMING SATURDAY ! Those and the backsplash are the last things that need to be done in the kitchen, so I am SUPER pumped that we are checking one of these off the list this weekend.  We kinda went back and forth on whether to get new appliances, the old ones were “fine”…nothing great but decent, stainless steel appliances.  It was definitely a splurge to go ahead and order all new, but when we designed the new kitchen layout we designed thinking we would go ahead an

weekend rewind

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  Can’t believe how quickly we are back to a  Monday morning …. Bleh.  Our weekend was pretty great, went to a baseball game  Friday night  with friends….house/yard work all day Saturday and Sunday…. playdate  Saturday morning ….boat cleaning Saturday afternoon while the kids swam (and fought over who could help clean) DATE  night Saturday night  on the lake….. lots of playtime/cuddles/and a few time outs in between ;)   '''Twas a good one.  Xoxo

Easter weekend

We had such an amazing weekend; fun with friends, house work, and celebrating our Savior.   We took the kids (plus two friends!) to a local park for an egg hunt  on Thursday night , we saw the Easter bunny, some live bunnies and 10,000 eggs.  It was a lot of fun for the kids, although quite chaotic!  Mikey and I had a wedding to go to  Friday night  ( where we took NO pictures, ugh, I hate when I do that)… but we were able to take ½ days Friday to have plenty of time to hang with the kids and enjoy some sunshine before the night got started.    We worked around the house all day Saturday until Lolly came over to dye eggs, another chaotic event, but so fun!  We had a couple of friends over  Saturday night  to grill out and hang, so there were 8 kids and 7 adults… sounds like another chaotic but fun night, we seem to have a theme going, huh!?    Easter Sunday was gorgeous, we headed to church and then spent several hours at my brother’s house eating, egg hunting, and just letting the kid

the Friday five: things I'm loving

1. Sugar fix by Baublebar at Target. Some very cute stuff with friendly prices. 2. Easter dress via Loft 3. Helping to not look like Casper before I can get some natural color  4. Loving my new shoes by Marc Fisher.  5. And finally, spring break. Wellllll, maybe not so much for me as I've been working all week. But, because of my wonderful mama my kids have enjoyed a few little "spring break activities" during the day.    Happy Good Friday!! Xoxo

weeeknd rewind

We’ve been huntin’ some eggs like most of America this past week.  All the kids had hunts at preschool and then we went to a friend’s house for one  Saturday afternoon . The boys were mainly excited about the candy inside, ha! We’ve had the most beautiful weather which always makes these fun springtime activities so much better!  My girl basically looks like she’s a second grader these days, ugh.  We had a fairly low key weekend otherwise, enjoying the weather, working around the house and trying to get projects checked off the to do list.  It’s never ending! Happy Tuesday friends!

weekend rewind

One day I will blog about more than weekend recaps.... or maybe I just won't blog at all. It could go either way at this point. Regardless, at this time i do still enjoy documenting our happenings... however mundane they may be.  The kids had school pictures last week, and my babies look like full grown big boys. I hate it.  The weather was perfect Friday, we came home a tad early from work and enjoyed happy hour outside while the kids played. Mikey and I also snuck out Friday night for dinner and to watch our lady gamecocks in their quest for the national championship, which they won!!! Saturday and Sunday were spent working around the house, playing with the kids, attending a baby shower and watching gamecock basketball! We got together with friends Saturday night to watch some games (sadly our boys lost in the final four) but we enjoyed the company and the kids enjoyed running around like wild things all night.  I walked into this sweet sight Sunday... our days is sibling bliss
